Waddya Say, Dr M?

..won't you join PAS? Or Parti Keadilan Rakyat?

I know that that would be the last thing you'd ever want to do. But, who knows... stranger things have happened.

PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang and PKR president Dr Wan Azizah Ismail have asked the good doctor to join their respective party.

Don't know whether it's "ajak-ajak ayam" but they're on record extending the invitation.

Here's the Bernama story:

PAS and Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) have asked former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad to join them, now that he has decided to quit Umno.

PAS President Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang and PKR President Datin Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail extended the invitation to Dr Mahathir.

Abdul Hadi said he always welcomed Dr Mahathir or other Umno members to join PAS.

Dr Wan Azizah said PKR's doors were always open for Dr Mahathir if he was interested in joining the party.

Dr Mahathir Monday announced his decision to quit Umno, saying he had lost confidence in Umno President Datuk Seri Abdulla thah Ahmad Badawi and that he would only rejoin the party after Abdullah had stepped down as party president and prime minister. -Bernama

When he was in the political wilderness way back in 1969 after he was sacked from Umno, he had spoken on PAS' platform. That was about all.

But no, I dont think Dr M would join other political parties. He's heart is still with Umno. He is simply disillusioned with Pak Lah, his incompetent successor.

PKR? Come on, with Anwar there? Not in a million years.

if Dr M jumps ship, jadilah hypocrite yang terbesar di malaysia.

A.kum Kak Aina,

1. Jika Dr.M masih ketagih politik, saya rasa dia akan masuk PAS.

2. Masa dia kena pecat dulu pun memang dia guna pentas PAS untuk bergerak.

3. Kalau Dr.M masuk PKR sure Anwar akan kata "ciss..berdebah saper suruh u masuk sini..u nak mati ker" hehehe

I think Pak Lah might join PKR ... to be together with his 'undercover agent'.
The Opposition parties and others who are hoping for Dr.M to walk into Hadi Awang or Wan Azizah's arms - Just Dream On.
This is something which Dr.M would never do!

1. Dont forget on pisau cukur issue, rejection of Hudud Law and more Firaun than the Firaun situation.

2. Dr M blood was supposed to be halal due to these.

3. And all of a sudden Dr M was invited to join PAS with esteem high.

4. Its seem Islam belongs to PAS and they know when to use Quran and Hadis at the correct time.

Pak Lah is not an incompetent leader please. He is just trying to give in to people, some of whom, like us, use it to our advantage. do you really think under Mahathir we can be so free blogging and saying so many things against his administration. I really dont think so.

Senile old man..sedang merajuk. Pak Lah should leave him be. If Tun wants to be PM....contest the elections at year end.

Let Pak Lah do his job..the people will throw him out if he fails.

Hi,
"is anybody out there" to be so
ignorant to invite this monster to join their political party. Even if they do it would be out of sympathy. Well if nothing works out he could open a clinic and start butchering his patients with political nonesuch.

TDM has won with his resignation. He has won the attention of everybody and the media both locally and internationally.Even PAS and PKR love him to join them. UMNO felt a great loss without him!
Isn't this the kind of "attention" that he has been yearning for since he retired in 2003?
TDM is better off to be left alone so that he can talk freely (whether right or wrong does not matter) and his voice makes the political scene in Malaysia more interesting. It is real democracy at work.
All this would not have been possible without the "innocent competence(whether you believe?)" of Pak Lah!!

Tun M will never go to PAS or PKR. Two parties that work against the spirit of whole Malaysian.

Tun will returned back to UMNO when Pak Lah retired in December 2008.

Hopefully, by that time Mukhriz and his loyal companion could make sweep control of UMNO and make a big changes.

I would say, stay out of PR please. He is more of a liability with so many skeletons oozing out from so many closets. Perhaps KIMMA would be a better platform for him, now that he has gone back to basics.

Just stand aside and watch the show unfolding. See the endless shadow play of the directionless characters.

mahathir is laughing in his heart at the gutless AAB. When they meet in Japan he will be wearing the despicable smile. After the meeting he will be poring scorn at malleable AAB.

Chandra is not the only despicable person in the present political scenario. Today we have 2 new persons to add to the list and also 2 organisations.

PAS and PKR are the organisations and Nik Aziz and Azizah are the new individuals!

The people who voted PRakyat have been sold out by PAS, Nik Aziz and also by PKR and Azizah. Now PAS is talking about “malay interest’ and Nik Aziz and Azizah are offering mahathir to join them. ‘The door is wide open to him’ …..ha!

Quote: "Dr Mahathir Monday announced his decision to quit Umno, saying he had lost confidence in Umno President Datuk Seri Abdullah than Ahmad Badawi"

Riiiiight......... What makes you think he's going to have confidence for Azizah nor Abdul Hadi? :P

He has no confidence of anyone but himself.

I dont believe he will join any other party because that would defeat what he said earlier.

Don't ever rule out anything where the Man is concerned. You just cannot put him down. He can hit out from an unknown tangent and UMNO will be caught with it's pants/panties down. "Duuuh, I told you so."

I dont think Tun Det secetek itu pemikirannya. Kalau dia boleh melangkah dengan langkah yg lebih besar drp org org yg dia komen, maka, langkah besar dia tu akan lebih bermakna kalau dia tetap jadi org di luar parti tanpa perlu join siapa siapa. Tun Det tak perlu tumpang popularity mana mana partai, kalau org lain tak tau lah

eerrr sekadar pendapat saya aje !!!

agak agak nak berpolimik sambil kepal nasik kepal beras jom lepak sini http://kkamdias.blogspot.com/

Lets see between PAS & PKR which one is sincere or which is only 'ajak2 ayam'.
During his last days, dejected Tungku was said to have joined PAS.So this is not the first time that PAS had offered an UMNO ex president to join.
It is also well known that Tuan Guru Nik Aziz had always admired TDM for his stand on the west and the Jews.
For PKR, well ..Wan Azizah was being nice.
