Al-Fatihah: Tan Sri Nasimuddin SM Amin

I received a text message from a good friend, Mufti Jantan (in California, USA) who said that Tan Sri Nasimuddin - the founder, chairman and chief executive officer of the Naza Group passed away about 2am today (Malaysian time) at the Long Beach Hospital in California.
He was 53.

He had been battling lung cancer.

His body was taken to the Vermont Islamic Centre to be prepared for prayers.

A tahlil will be held tonight at an Islamic centre in Los Angeles.

I understand that his remains will be brought home the soonest possible.

My deepest condolences to his family who is in LA.

May Allah bless his soul and may he rest in peace.

Al-Fatihah.

Innalillahi.....
Semoga Allah cucuri Rahmat keatas roh Allayarham Nasimuddin SM Amin.
Although his business empire is well known, receiving lots of publicity, his strong concience and tremendous contribution to Islam had been kept in low -profile.This is inline with the true spirit of 'amal' and 'sedekah'.Among his great contibutions are in funding many 'madrasah hafiz', sponsoring young Muslims in memorising the HolY Quran.
..May ALLAH accept his amals and bestow him his rightful place in the hereafter...Amin!!

'PARTI MELAYU SEMANGAT 46' (Penghormatan buat UMNO LAMA)

Besar kemungkinan hanya ingat-ingat lupa.

I had a private meeting with him at his office sometime late last year. An affable n simple down to earth person really.

I will always have fond memories of him and the Naza registration plate holder will remain on my ride.

Al Fatihah

Tan Sri Nasimuddin was a nice man. He never said bad words, never shouted at, or scolded his employees, he never condemned others with hateful words and always wanted to make friends, even with those who spoke ill of him. After meeting up, even those who had some misgivings or felt he was given too much were surprised by his simple and humble behaviour. He built his business step by step from 1976, and created an RM260 million state of the art factory in Kedah, one of the biggest showrooms in Asia in PJ, 4000 jobs, and helped support 10,000 further jobs indirectly (vendors, suppliers, etc.). In 2008 he secured the Ferrari, Peugeot and Harley-Davidson franchises and TTDI commenced work on his Platinum Park project. Above all this, he was a nice man, and I won't forget him.

yes. no doubt that nasimuddin was a great man. he's my uncle. he was a very soft spoken man. he helped all his family members who were facing financial problems. though he was a millionaire, he was really down to earth. the last time i saw him was on last january when we were celebrating his birthday in one of my aunt's house in hulu langat but he didn't eat the cake.. and he didn't talk much on that day. few days later, he flew to LA. may god bless him. amin.
