I think we all agree that former Penang Chief Minister Dr Koh Tsu Koon is a gentleman. A man who is honourable in defeat.
Today, Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) president Dr Wan Azizah Ismail praised Koh's leadership, saying that he had governed the state well.
Dr Wan Azizah, who defended her Permatang Pauh parliamentary seat by a bigger majority (than that obtained in 2004) against Umno's Pirdaus Ismail, said that under Koh's leadership,
Penang became the best example of corporatisation, especially in water supply management.
Koh contested the Batu Kawan parliamentary seat and lost to DAP's Dr P Ramasamy.
Here's the Bernama story.

I was informed that thousands visited his "jenazah", he must have done good deeds in his life. May his good deed be accepted by Allah. Alfatihah.
Is is racial or what ? why can't the malay leaders do the same ? pas accepts the defeat in Trg and bn accepts the multiple defeat. life goes on ... after this all hv to amend their way and work harder to please US the rakyat - or i am too simple minded.
Dr Koh has shown himself to be an exemplary politician. And Dr Wan Azizah has showm herself to be a first class politicial. And Abdullah Badawi has showed that he is a first class gentleman. In the end, democracy is the winner. Luckily, Toyo is the exception. This guy sucks.
he is really gentleman
Don;t know if it is a sandiwara...
but yeah, giving Dr. Koh benefit of a doubt...
He is comparatively better than PPP's Kayveas and MIC's Birthday Boy...
i mean, what for they stay as president of parties who lost significance!! It's not like they still get to collect tolls or buy AP, or get project tenders...
exactly he is a gentlement ..
campare with the mentri besar selangor ....
THUMBS DOWN to UMNO!!! BOO!!! Low class politician!!! Boycotting the swearin in ceremony today. Despite lost out in the election still personally attended the ceremoney!!!
I strongly agree Dr koh is a true gentlement at leat not like S.V.
He is a victim of the politic Tsunami and not because he is not capable. Hopefully he still can contribute in Penang development via other channel
Dr Koh is a very good example for all other politic leaders, I hope Toyo ( Former MB of Selangor ) can learn 1 or 2 things from him, instead of crying and hiding at home.
yup - he has redeemed himself. As for the Mr. MIC, there's a hilarious video clip on Youtube titled "Goodbye Sam" by those wonderful guys of Comedy Court. I like the part where they sang "one big tsunami came and drove this Samy away...". It's to the tune of Cliff Richard's Goodbye Sam hello Samantha.
How true the saying, "By their fruits we shall know them"... even his opponents acknowledged Dr Koh's "fruits" in Penang; likewise, the results of the GE gave pretty good indication of the rakyat's views of AAB&Co's "fruits" during his 1st term... I suppose UMNO will have to wait for a pretty long time to see the fruits of AAB&Co. especially when the gardener spends more time dreaming than working on the orchard...
Comparing Koh and Toyol shows muslim does not automatically mean good.
Barisan Rakyat concept is on the right path. Tell BN and TDM their islamic country concept sucks
A truly gentleman. Dr Koh, I salute you. More politican shd follow his footstep.
Tabik pada Dr Koh; saya pun malu dengan perangai bekas MB Melayu/Muslim.
Imagine, In World War II, after the Japanese was defeated by the Alied Forces, and the japanese military top officials refuse to attend the surrendering signing ceremony? Or downright refuse to admit defeat?
What would people think of this kind of human beings?
And what do you think of ARMNO reps in Penang?
