Poor Little Yeap....

LATEST: Wednesday April 16 2008

Yeap Jia Hui, 10, who was abandoned by his mother for some 18 months, will live with his grand-aunt, Yeap Choon Lean, 59 and her husband.
His mother, after much persuasion, has finally relented to this.

The story here.

Update:
Little Yeap who was abandoned by his mother about 18 months ago, forcing him to live alone in their apartment in George Town, Penang, will now live with his grand-aunt. Click here for the story.

That's happy news for this 10 year-old who's been fending for himself all this while.

He's a good boy who did his homework and everything as though he had someone taking care of him.

How lonely and alone he must have felt when he was at home...poor thing.

I hope his grand-aunt Yap Choon Lean, 59, can cope, though.

But where is little Yeap's mummy, Kim Hong? Is she ok? I hope she's ok so that we can bring her to see her son!

My original posting:

What's to become of 10 year-old J.H Yeap (picture) whose mother left him more than 1 year ago -- all alone in their apartment in George Town, Penang.

Please read about him here.

The story does not say what has become of little Yeap, whether he is still living on his own, after the story was published in the papers.

And whether any effort is being taken to locate his mummy.

I'm sure that Yeap is in good hands and being taken care of by the Penang Welfare Services Department.

Or, is he?

I'd like to know.

Perhaps YB Ng Yen Yen care to shed some light on the latest progress of the poor kid and his mum??

Lol! Pity on him... does he feel anything? Is there any grandma or maybe grandpa take care of him? This is not what we want :(

Yeah, in a country where RM100m could be wasted on a space tourist and plans were being made to rescue a British social escort, we have a boy home alone. And nobody seems to noticed.

Well, this is the chance for Mr Lim to show what the Pakatan Rakyat is all about. We don't want no Gerakan or worse, UMNOputeras stealing the limelight do we?

Hopefully the kid is in safe hands, what with all those missing girls still unsolved and the newspaper report might just be the right advert for perverts.

This is a typical case that the government should help, including many others that have not been publicised, rather than sending a high-powered team to try to "save" Sufiah.

There's a virus attached to the first link. I don't think jojosho is aware of it. Can you please remove it before it infects everybody opening it?

Yes, there is a virus in the first link.

All my opinions have been stated by the comments before me. Just wanted to add in my votes that the Government should concentrate on issues on the home front rather than wasting unnecessary resources/time on unnecessary things. Please learn to prioritze.

Everyone,

Beware of Blogger by the username "Jojosho". I just Googled the username, and it seems that he's been terrorizing many other Bloggers with virus links as well (as complaint by one user here.

Dear Kak Nuraina
Looks like the boy's grandaunt has decided to take care of him. But no one's been able to locate his mother though.
Still, it's good that someone's finally taking care of the boy.

Now, what is strange to me is that, during all those many many months, where were all his Grandparents, his aunts, his cousins his extended familly! Dont tell me none of them knew anything?

There is more to this that meets the eyes.

Yea, I got his latest news. He made up his mind to follow his grandaunt to Kuantan and starts his life anew. He told the reported he never had blamed his mother a single bit as he knows life is difficult for his mum too. He's been doing quite well in school and won some awards. However, this year he had not attended school quite a number of days and performance started to drop. To me, it's a waste. I sincerely hope, with the new environment, he will start his life well again and be successful in his life.
