RPK's Wife To Dang Wangi

UPDATE: Wednesday Aug 8 2007
-------------------------------------------------
Marina had her "statement" taken down at 11.15am (at the Dang Wangi police station) and was out at 11.55am.
We were so relieved that it did not take that long.
We were relieved that she was not roughed up or mistreated. Not that we had expected that. But, you know, anything could happen.
Her husband, RPK, insisted on being with her while she was being questioned.
From what she told us, the police really did accept her response (not to answer their questions) without much ado. I suppose they had no choice as she cited the Syariah and her obligation as a Muslim wife to abide by her husband's wishes not to answer their questions.
She had also brought a Quran with her.

And yes, the police were only doing their job.
Personally, I do believe that the police wish that they don't have to do all this for the politicians.

Read Ahirudin Attan's (Rocky's Bru) take here.

My earlier post:
Let's hope it's just a chit-chat that the police want with Marina, Raja Petra's wife, when they meet her tomorrow.
She has been summoned to Dang Wangi for her statements to be recorded.
I walked (and still am walking) with Rocky and Jeff when they went to court after being sued by NST and gang. With Nathaniel Tan who was remanded for 4 days last month, with RPK when he was interrogated for about 8 hours, also last month, and certainly now with Marina.

Ahirudin Attan (Rocky's Bru) says it is intimidation. Read it here.
It's really alarming.

Kak Ena,

I got this from Datuk Ruhanie's blog :

Alamak, you made the list lah. And Kak Teh yang duduk diam2 kat London pun kena jugak. Let me see, exactly which of her many entries yang "monkey" ya?

As you said earlier, we should just laugh it off. But then again... Malaysia oh Malaysia!

Dear Nuraina,
Viewing all the comments made on MT about Puan Marina's coming date with the Dang Wangi police, I thing many members are not helping matters much by being antagonistic with the police. Under this circumstance the last thing we want them to be is a foe to Puan Marina. To have them as our foe is bad. After all they are just carrying out their duties.
The person who ordered the act is the person that must be condemned. It could have come from the very top.
How i wish we all could be more rational in our actions.

Salam Kak Ena

Freedom vs fear.

Your earlier posting on what Raja Nazrin said and this one inspired me to write an update today.

A working mom on holiday could soon be labeled as a threat to national unity too! Hah!! Another idea just flashed !

kehoe: she is not a blogger. but she is the wife of someone whose head some people want.
more than fishy.

mior: oh... that monkey list.
whatever, kan, mior.

rubiah: orang desperate, rubiah.

zawi: you are right. i think the police themselves know that all this is political. if they had their way, i'm sure they don't want be wasting their time interrogating people like RPK or his wife, Marina. I think they'd reather use their time well and get the crooks and bad guys..
i agree, they're doing their job.

zai: so far she's fine. i hope the intimidation ends there.

I walked from the old Dang Wangi station to Jalan Raja Abdullah, not knowing it has moved.Reached there at 11.45, just stood across the road at CIMB for awhile but no sign of any of you.
So I just withdrew some cash and went back to Jln Tuanku Abd Rahman and had a nasi kandar lunch.
Another ordinary day for me...but I walked with you guys...did I?
(Promise myself to be more punctual next time..)

Kesuon yo ...

Alo Kak Ena, my 2cents is that sesiapa yang compile the list are not that bright, they should read the message NOT shoot down the messenger.

And now some nothing-better-to-do people (or are these the real monkeys?) are going from blog to blog, particularly those who don't moderate comments, spamming our comment box with political comments which had nothing to do with our postings. Not sure what they are trying to do. I think that day Kerp kena - he has deleted them all. I kena yesterday morning - I've deleted them too. Then this morning went to Raden Galoh's blog and saw exactly the same comments from exactly the same people. RG's away for umrah so the comments are still there lah.
