Anwar's Return To Parliament..

Anwar Ibrahim will take his place in the Dewan Rakyat tomorrow after a 10-year hiatus.

According to Malaysiakini,
Dewan Rakyat Speaker Pandikar Amin Mulia has announced that Anwar will be sworn in as the new Member of Parliament for Permatang Pauh tomorrow.

He made the announcement this morning.

Anwar won the Permatang Pauh seat in the by-election yesterday with a majority of 15,671.

The de facto Parti Keadilan Rakyat leader is also expected to be appointed parliamentary opposition leader for the 81 Pakatan Rakyat MPs.

Malaysiakini, quoted PKR information chief Tian Chua as saying that Anwar's presence in the House "is a real morale boost for the Pakatan Rakyat in Parliament."

Give him say, 6 months, before passing judgement on his effectiveness. Politicians can never be taken for granted and what they say should only be taken at face value.

He'll likely spend the first 3 months settling old scores. He has miles to cover and the hope is he doesn't tire before then.

Savor the moment of triumph for now and he can finally enjoy staring at the smirks on the faces of his "opposition"!!

10 years passed us by so fast.it seems like yesterday.

at last after 10 years,Anwar succeeded in obtaining back his old seat of Permatang Pauh.

now the question is can Anwar implement all the things that he has promised us before (forming new govt,30 mps jump over to PR,become the next PM,making the life of us all better than)?.

i'm skeptical of Anwar but i sure respect him for his determination.BN people should also learn something from this.dont take anything for granted and work hard.

memang lama.lama sangat.

Agak-agak bila pula Anwar nak bersumpah menafikan kes liwatnya?...

Anwar is nothing but a piece of crap. Believe him to your own peril. He's nothing but an air head and talks non stop. He's a trouble maker and he only makes the overall political and economic view of Malaysia negative. No more foreign investments for Malaysia. Who's gonna come to a country with a vengeful monkey that keeps talking about toppling the government?

Any economist will tell you that had Dr M not fired him for the route he wants to take in the economic crisis in 1997, you Malaysian's life would have been worse today. Even George Soros had to admit Dr M did the right thing.

He's a useless SOB that Anwar and a cause of political instability.

Its good to have more oppositions in the government, but do it so that the ruling party doesn't have free hand on everything but its another thing when some monkey keeps talking about toppling the government.

No political analyst can see any good with Anwar's troublesome nature.

And what of all the opposition leaders? Are you poor souls so weak none can be leader? Or does Anwar pays all of you to acknowledge him as opposition leader? Bloody backboneless oppositions!

Good luck to you Malaysians. I can see no future there anymore.
