It is unbelievable, and unacceptable that some people actually got away with stealing two jet-fighter engines, each worth RM50 million, from the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) base in Sungai Besi.
This is a serious crime.

Are they, at this moment, trying to plug it in so that no more damaging info are known to the public.
If as they said they are investigating the matter - how and who are conducting the case. Is it a tranparently impartial team who are courageous to seek out the truth
The government of the day has yet another opportunity to prove that it will not ever, ever condone corruption.

This truly is an act of treason, and poses a serious breach of our nations' security.
Not to mention making our nation look like a total jackass in the eyes of the world.
Anyone familiar with modern warfare knows that air defense serves as the primary shield that protects a country.
To invade another country, the invading party must first paralyze its opponent's air defense systems - neutralizing warplanes, airfields and anti-aircraft weapons.
Yet in our case, some wackos simply walked in and STOLE our jet fighters' engines without being detected.
HOW BLOODY EMBARRASSING!
The culprits involved must be identified and brought to justice AT ALL COST, and as quickly as possible.
Measures must be taken to ensure that this humiliating incident will not happen again

Just couldn't believe this treacherous deed happened in my beloved country. Who was the minister of defence at the time this embarassing act took place? Why only at the end of 2009 are the powers that be jumping high and low? Well, I suppose people would do anything for money even to the extent of selling their millitary equipment to anyone. May the wrath of ALLAH befall on them. NAMAN.

As in many other scandals, the authorities will take Malaysians as Jackasses. The current defence minister already on defensive mode. Don't expect anything to come out of this especially during 07 the defence minister is the current PM.
Treason is a very serious label and just because it involved some soldiers, does it warrant so?
If in a similar scenario involving civilian plane engines with civilians, would that be treason?
This is not treason unless it results in the country and king being in mortal danger. It's just a criminal act.

This is just a drop in the bucket of BN Govt scandals. Hardly surprising it happened. What else don't we all know about things gone missing?
Here's something that I heard 'from the grapevine' this afternoon during lunch at Lake Club. The source is definitely reliable.
The two missing F5E engines were actually marked for disposal a long time ago and they cannot be used except only for cannibalising. In the books, they both have been depreciated to zero value, or to make the books a bit nicer, at RM1 each. Both are waiting for the next process to dispose them by open tender. However, the actual tendering process is so cumbersome that it would take years for items like these to be physically disposed off and this process, as far as the RMAF or even the government is concern, does not take priority. That's why, if you go and visit military bases, especially those logistics stations including those that belong to the Royal Malaysian Police, you will find tons and tons of items waiting to be disposed including old vehicles, furniture, computers, etc.
There are many more items in the RMAF store which are already marked for disposal or scrapping or even to be written off. These items are stored at a location with the lowest security grading and even if someone takes out one or two items, nobody would bother and that includes the two engines. Nobody cares!
How they came out with a value of RM300,000.00 each is a mystery.
So, what's the big deal?
