Kuala Terengganu By-Election Results Tonight

Stay tuned to your radio or TV, or go online tonight, at about 10.30pm for the election results.

Three people are vying for the Kuala Terengganu parliamentary seat. They are Barisan Nasional's Datuk Wan Ahmad Farid Wan Salleh, Pas' Mohd Abdul Wahid Endut and an Independent candidate Azharudin Mamat @ Adam.

The seat was left vacant following the death of Deputy Education Minister Datuk Razali Ismail on Nov 28.

According to Bernama, all 36 polling centres were closed at 5pm today.

By 4pm, the voter turnout was 76 per cent.

The constituency has 80,229 voters, including 1,302 postal voters.

The ballot papers are being counted at the 143 voting channels and would later taken to the State Stadium here for tallying.

In the 12th general election in March last year, the turnout was 82.45 per cent or 66,231 out of 80,325 voters.

So, who do you think will win?

General election in Malaysia should be change to state-by-state election. Then, we would get all our "pembangunan" allocation !

TV1 (wonky coverage, as always) implied that BN took the lead in Wakaf Mempelam, but Malaysian Insider reported the opposite. Tun Dr Mahathir may be right. It's the candidate, candidate, candidate. The BN candidate may be a man of integrity in fact, but he may have a problem in appearance. Don't know about others, but, strangely, I am at the edge of my seat.
