"We're making him as comfortable as possible....just pray (for him)...." Dr Ridzwan said when I asked about Bapak's condition since he he took a turn for the worse this morning.
"Should we be prepared for the worst?," I asked.
Dr Ridzwan hesitated momentarily. Then, almost whispering, said: "We're doing our best....just pray for him.."
Bapak's lung infection has made a comeback and has spread to his other organs.
He was ok up until 7am today. Then he had trouble breathing and his blood pressure went low.
He can breathe on his own but is on respiratory support.
Bapak has been at the ICU (Pantai Medical Centre) for almost a week now.
He showed some improvement earlier, but today his condition worsened.
But we remain hopeful...
Tabah menghadapi dugaan..

Stay Strong my dear. We are with you and we will pray together with you.
ReplyDeleteDear Ms Nuraina, Just a year ago I went thru what you are going thru now, with my mum, in the same hospital, in the same ICU... I undertstand what you must be going through. Keep the faith strong for HE knows best. Your Dad is surrounded by so much love from his family, and I believe you are probably there round the clock, being together during this difficult time. Also, Tan Sri has many many people out there who respect him tremendously and look up to him. All of whom will be praying for him to come out this. I sincerely believe that all the love and faith will help him pull through. I pray that the Almightly gives you and your family strength.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry about your father. Be strong.

ReplyDeletestay strong my dear, i went thru what you are going thru rite now. Bykkan bersabar dan berdoa, sakit itu adalah satu ujian dr Allah s.w.t. Bro sentiasa mendoakan supaya ur bapak's kembali sembuh sedia kala insyaallah...amin
ReplyDeleteDear Nuraina
ReplyDeleteHope he will pull through and recover, insyaAllah.
However, I feel it’s also better to prepare for the worst. The last time when my late father meninggal, we were utterly unprepared when he passed away barely 3 hours after being admitted and had just started on his drip. He attended a khenduri just 3 days before but vomited the following day. He called a few of us home when he felt rather weak after not able to take any food for a day. Two of us arrived from KL in the morning and managed to persuade him to go to a district hospital. But we never thought that he would go so fast. We were more concerned for his comfort and for him to get stronger.
Well, how each of us meet our end has been Ordained by Allah s.w.t. and He Knows best.
Semoga Ena sekeluarga di Rahmati Allah dan tabah, insyaAllah.
Selamat Menyambut Ramadan Mubarak.
My doa for Pak Samad.
ReplyDeleteSemoga tabah menghadapi saat-saat getir begini. Sudah tentu kita semua maklum bahawa sebagai makhluk yang hidup suatu saat kita akan pergi juga, tapi knowing that doesnt help much to ease our sadness though...does it? My heart goes to you all the way Sis Nuraina.

I saw you at the hospital's lobby yesterday when I was checking my daughter out, and wanted to come over to offer our prayers and wishes....but you were busy with Rafidah Aziz and later on the PM.....but nevertheless, do know our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
ReplyDeleteSalam Kak Nuraina,
ReplyDeleteSaya mengenali Pak Samad melalui tulisan tulisannya di beberapa majalah lama dulu ketika saya masih di akhir tahun tahun sekolah rendah.
Melalui tulisannya saya kenal keluarganya (saya sudah lupa melalui majalah apa tapi mungkin Dewan Masyarakat). Bagaimana dia di penjarakan. Pengalaman jadi wartawan muda di bawah Arwah Abdul Rahim Kajai. Kisah kematian isterinya.
