Anwar Ibrahim..

The man has as many supporters as he has enemies.

In the Sun's issue yesterday, journalists R. Nadeswaran and Terence Fernandez spoke to Parti Keadilan Rakyat de-facto leader Anwar Ibrahim.

I'd just like to lift a few excerpts from the Q&A.

On Utusan Malaysia portraying him negatively:

"They were demonising us, saying that we are traitors to the Malays.
That's interesting. 'I am a traitor to the Malays'. I have not taken one share, no taxi permit, no contract in the name of bumiputra and all those so-called champions of Malays have taken hundreds of taxi permits, APs and contracts by the hundreds of millions of ringgit."

On what can be expected from the new Selangor government:

"First, its governance. There was so much of wastage, corruption, leakages and alienation of land. According to the reports I have, hundreds of millions of ringgit are literally down the drain. But we have to be careful. We cannot create the impression that we are going
to dismantle everything, because we will lose investor confidence. People want stability and continuity. The only major issue we accept is the mentri besar’s recommendation to review
the water agreement. The water agreement is virtually scandalous! And it is a burden
to consumers."

On media organisations who wouldn't touch him with a 10-foot pole but are now wanting to court him:

"I have no malice. You know, sometimes I laugh at these people. This is the quality of people and they think they are great. I have no personal agenda. They have. Some of them are scared. Dead scared! They came to see me saying we are sorry, but were forced to do this and do that. In a way it is good - not that it is fair for them to put me in prison and treat me that way … but
it is a good experience. And if people make mistakes and are remorseful, we should give them a chance. I always believe that."

Well...I know what the ani-Anwar guys are saying. But listen...you'll just have wait and see whether he delivers.
Whether (this is such a cliche) he walks the talk....etc etc..

Well Nuraina... Kalau pengantin menikahpun..they take at least 9 bulan nak dapat anak. Bagilah mereka peluang untuk membuktikan apa yang dikata. Jangan terlalu gelojoh mengharap dan mengkritik. Afterall, saya percaya mereka tidak akan lebih buruk dari Pak Lah mahupun TDM. Wassalam.

Anwar tries to liberalize everything, demolishing NEP is one of his agendas. May I asked which Malay family does not benefit from NEP?.... Without NEP how many Malay, especially poor Malay like me, can study in varsities, get scholarship and helps feed our poor parents back in kampong. Malays make up majority of the Medium class in Malaysia today, because of NEP. Without NEP can the Malays get jobs like today.

I dont mean to be racial, but look at companies controlled by Non Bumi, walk inside, and throw a stone at the staff, the chance of it hitting a Malay is 1:1000? or more? Can we liberalise it as well, can Anwar do that?

NEP is a social contract, agreed by all races. Dont bullshit that Anwar can negotiate a better than NEP for the Malay. Rhetoric! NEP is a good tool to unite all races, so as Anwar admits, but the implementation was wrong...! Obviously! So why do away with it, improve it! Get the power to rule and change it! Do Anwar has the gut to say that he will improve on NEP, which he declared as good, when he is in power? I dont think he dare to, because he doesnt want to lose the Non Bumi support, as he needs the support to be a PM. So am I right to say that Anwar is a New man now, as DAP agreed. He is not that Anwar who fought for the Malays, not Anwar who champion Islam anymore. He sings Malaysian Malaysia with DAP. (PAS says what?)

One sad story I would like Anwar to know is that, I was among the first person to come to mosque to listen to his sermons on Fridays in those years... Then I was looking into a a face of a great leader in the making, a leader who can elevate the Malay to a higher level. But sorry NOT anymore. You betray the Malays!

Look around you Anwar, where are your old friends from ABIM? Where are the academicians? Where are the senior intellectuals who once support you? Why they run away from you? Now you are surrounded by young inexperience Malays and the hard core, senior non Malays from parties like DAP. Dont u know that these people want u to be PM, so that they can ride on you! If they can force u to demolish NEP, the precious one, I dare not imagine the rest.

But I still has ONE final hope on Anwar, that Anwar will change (again), and back to his old days struggles. He MUST also know that the opposition wins more this round is NOT because majority likes them, but simply because the majority hates the present UMNO heads. If UMNO can cleanup those rotten heads, in no time Anwar will be history.

Anwar, pls stop talking about BN reps jumping into your camp, this will add salt to the Malays wound. Even if it becomes reality, do you think the Majority Malays will keep quiet? Age is catching up Bro!, learn to chew the reality, clout 9 will not be always cool!

Anwar should be given credit for bringing back real democracy in Malaysia and restore the people's faith in the system...

We could still be barking the hills by now if not because of immense contribution in the last election..

So credit should be given where it is due..and he represents HOPE to many people who have all but given up on state of affairs in Malaysia before the GE

I belive his rightful position is still the Prime Minsiter of Malaysia..

WHEN PAK LAH CAME INTO OFFICE AS THE PM IN 2003, HE IMPRESSED ALMOST EVERYONE INCLUDING LIM KIT SIANG, WITH WHAT HE PLANS TO DO FOR THE COUNTRY THAT THE RAKYAT GAVE HIVE ALMOST THE FULL MANDATE IN THE 2004 GE. AFTER HE LED BN TO A LANDSLIDE (MAN MADE 'LANDSLIDE' LAH), VICTORY IN 2004, HE MADE MANY PROMISES, AND WE TRULY BELIEVED THERE WOULD BE CHANGE FOR THE BETTER, AND GAVE HIM 4 YEARS TO DELIVER ... AND HE FAILED.

NOW, SDR ANWAR IBRAHIM, THE SOON TO BE PM IS MAKING PROMISES OF CHANGES.

WHETHER HE WILL DELIVER, NOBODY KNOWS. WHAT IS IMPORTANT NOW IS THAT WE HAVE TO MOVE FORWARD AND HIS PLAN FOR THE NATION SEEMS IN-LINE WITH ASPIRATIONS OF THE MAJORITY WHO VOTED OUT THE BN IN THE RECENT GE.

SO LET'S GIVE HIM 4 YEARS (MAYBE EVEN LESS TIME IF HE DOESN'T PERFORM) TO DELIVER ON HIS PROMISE.

  5. yeah, we will see whether he walks the talks.

Notwithstanding that, when he was in power, people were saying, LIKE HE IS SAYING NOW TO THOSE IN POWER, that he was corrupt and enrich his cronies.

Ofcourse, if he had stayed on and become the PM.....

  7. Salam Pn Nuraina,

I first heard Anwar Ibrahim on cassette tape while he was President of ABIM. Wow.... I thought.

Then I read his reasons on why he joined UMNO. Eh?... I wondered.

Then I saw him in a PC making an announcement that he would make a challenge for the UMNO Dep President's post. And the whole group of top guns were there sitting alongside and standing behind him. Had he not announced earlier that he would not take on Ghaffar Baba? How could Ghaffar defend himself now, with such a show of support for Anwar, I thought... and of course, Ghaffar had no choice but to back off.

And then I saw him leading the BN campaign machinery in the Sabah state elections to topple Pairin Kitingan... poor Pairin had to fend off the onslaught left, right and centre! Nowadays, Pairin is within BN while Anwar is without. How ironic, I thought... but then, anything's possible in politics.

Then I saw Anwar got sacked, charged for sodomy and turned up in court with a black eye. And the punch came from the no. 1 police officer in the country, no less! What's my country coming to, I wondered... if you can get beaten up in jail before you go to trial?

And now I witnessed the power of the people in sending a strong message to BN. And there is no doubt in my mind that Anwar played a very strong influence.

But still.... can he really be trusted? I guess, I'll give him this chance. As the first commenter said, he can't be worse than AAB or TDM.

    Got this from blog
Anwar Ibrahim – is he with the world conspirators?
First, let me say, I am not a BN man or supporter, never was nor is. I am not writing this article to attack the Opposition group; I support the minority players/parties as I strongly believe that absolute power corrupts absolutely. Therefore if BN becomes the minority, then I may have to support them to help check on the excesses of whichever party ruling our country.
“…the country is in danger of collapsing due to Anwar’s involvement with the American Democratic body which gives him money to do his political campaign here. Apparently he claims that Anwar is about to send ½ billion Sing Dollar into Sabah“. (Rights2Write)
The above statement is taken from a contributor in Susan Loone’s blog which can be false. I have not heard of American Democratic body.
In the past his name was on the attendees list of the Illuminati’s sponsored meeting/s when he was DPM as was Datuk Sopiee (deceased). Anwar is still with the World Bank (an Illuminati org.).
D.S. Anwar Ibrahim is in the news everywhere. Soon he maybe the next PM, but before we elect him, we should ask him - where Anwar Ibrahim allegiances lie – with this country or with the elitist’s society of a foreign country?
We better be safe than sorry as he is considered the power behind the BR or BA coalition - an ‘Alternative PM’.
Malaysia Today have already exposed Tan Sri Dato’Azman Hashim as a member of the Trilateral Commission; a person cannot just join such a secret exclusive organization but have to be invited into it. How many there are in this country who belong to such org. or similar ones?

Bhupalan is aware of all this. An ardent PKR supporter, she was distressed that I had quit the party and met me a couple of times. I explained to her in great length that apart from internal party divisions, I was unhappy about money politics in the Likas by-election, the manipulation of communal sentiments in the Lunas by-election and Anwar's close relationship to certain individuals and think-tanks in Washington who were part of the US's agenda for global hegemony. I told her that I had conveyed all these and other concerns to Anwar in a 15 page private letter in March 2002.

If Anwar for or against us
Will we get out of the fire-pan (BN govt.) and in the fire (Anwar/eliist)
PS. During the 1990s Anwar as Finance minister nearly got funds from IMF (Illuminati org.). Our problems will be just about the same as in Indonesia – controlled by the hidden hand. As the Illuminati started the 9/11 WTO destruction, and the Bali bombing – they may do so here. Calling non terrorists – terrorists, and getting them charged as terrorists though some may be just involved.
If he had become the PM then, our troubles will just started.
So Malaysians think who you want as the next PM.

But first for the sake of the general public who uninformed or know little and those who deny of such conspiracy going on worldwide, I would like for them to see the website: http://www.arcticbeacon.com/ by Greg Szymanski, JD; or for Muslims see: http://www.illuminaticonfessions.webfriend.it/ by by Leo Lyon Zagami, now Khaled Saifullah Khan, an ex high level & of royal bloodline in the Illuminati, now a Muslim convert.

    To srikandi melayu....

Ok, before we go to deep into Anwar case...we got to know whats NEP is all about in lay mens term.

As you well aware, to all of us NEP is a social contract whereby it actually benefits all three major races not just malays. Each of major races god have given them special uniqueness in this world. For malays they more like main consumers and indian and chinese are like the main providers. And this link must prevail in order to make all the community living within Malaysia stable and able to sustain itself without any foreign influence (foreign communists and capitalists).

The Malaysian chinese and indians wouldnt reach this far in terms of
business successes and control if the main 60% consumer (Malays) are poor - who gonna go to their malls or buy their stuff?. Look at forbes richest non-malays, Lim Goh Tong, Robert Kuok, Ananda Krishnan etc. They are so powerful and rich far more than their brethren in SIngapore and the best part they have freedom to control their organisation without listening to any white guys crap (foreign influence) compared to their singaporean businessman. And it works both ways too, As for malay who has control certain organisation, they can chart their own way without any kow tow to zionist system or in a nice word "liberal way". In short, Malays can do their own thingy too.

If u guys study carefully from the situation, NEP is not just a social contracts, it functions like an instruments to break away from any system that was forcely impose towards us. Its more like a blockade to protect all our malaysian interest. Example, lets see our southern neighbours, i can say that, if u wanna get develop, u gotta lick some american or jewish balls first or we look at our communist bloc friends, if u wanna get develop, u gotta lick some russian balls first.

With NEP, we can be nuetral and the best part, we can run our own show without licking anyone balls. I still remember when TDM on his first term, he pulled a stunt "Buy British last", that was a classic, it can be translate to one thing, if u want our resources or goods, white guys gotta lick our balls too. It feels good eh...And i know white guys really hates that.

So i can say, removing NEP, will not just screw the malays, it will screw others too. Imagine what gonna happen to YTL if this NEP gone, does the malaysian chinese big shot gonna remain there, it is doubtful, in 10 years we gonna see some hostile takeovers from this foreign investors, we gonna see proxies run the show. So when the Malaysian Chinese bosses gone how they gonna protect their malaysian chinese brethren? By then asking malays help will be too late, cause most of malays already balik kampung tanam jagung. Western and Jewish investors is all about control and profits margins in business, thats how they protect their interests - CONTROL!!!!!!!!, so why dont we have control too? we can use NEP instrument for that. U guys gotta study what happened to Alexander Graham Bell and his telephone company, he got the BOOT from hostile takeovers.

So whatever the Malaysian Chinese bosses kungfu or tai chi to protect their stake, they will be no match from these resourceful foreigners. In short if the NEP is removed, in the long run, it will put them at the harms way too.

So srikandi, u only look NEP in one perspective not on the bigger picture, I hope u dont mind i have corrected you.

Ive noticed that, there are some shortcomings with NEP lately, especially to Chinese middle class and Indian races. Theres some inbalance. But metaphoricly speaking have u guys ever heard a guy got shot and then the gun got the trial in court? of course the shooter got trialed not the gun. Similar to this NEP case, NEP should not be on trial or blamed, the guys who executed need to be asked what the hell has happened? Or maybe NEP needs an upgrade or fixing? Nowadays we got alot of smart guys resulting from NEP, so i can say NEP worked nicely since 1969, so todays smart malays, chinese and indians need to put their brains together and fix/upgrade this not replacing it, make it work. In this current challenging world we need some kind of defense/barrier not just for malays but for all. I can say NEP is all malaysian got as their last bastion/refuge in competitive global businesses. Removing it, for sure all of us gonna get ass kicked by the powerful foreign organisations. And probably Nuraina position in NST might be compromise if there is some foreign hostile takeovers in NST..haha just joking.

As for Anwar case, the stunt he pulled by not attending/ignoring MTEN and then proposing IMF is the only solution for our economic crisis in 1996-97 is actually bad for all, not the malays only but for chinese and indians too, if we have gone his way, by now we might licking some jews/americans balls too. Its quite sad what happened to him, i agreed with srikandi, hes a good replacement for TDM during that time, hes not just a superb charismatic leader for malays but for all malaysian. Probably hes hanging out too much with Mr Camdessus of IMF have screwed his brain out. Regarding Anwar suggestions about NEP, my main concerns is what is his motives? what is his intention? Why did he marked NEP not the implementations instead?

I think everyone knows about this, the foreigners wants our country so badly, the high possibility is not cause of the resources, it is cause of its location, Malaysia is in the middle of the 2 busiest straits in the world. Whoever control Malaysia will surely control the world trade logistics. That was the main reason, portugues, dutch and english wants us, not just for some spice. And even our American ally have pulled a stunt to look after the malacca straits for terrorists issues, u guys really think is all about terrorists? haha.

Actually all of their frontal assault have failed until this moment, whether a soft assault or the hard ones like the currency attack. Mostly unsuccessful due to the unseen barriers (NEP)we imposed to them. So if i were them, i got to use the "trojan horse tactics" to bring the walls down. Like the old greek times, we put a wooden horse inside the wall and then pull down the trojans door, and then take the whole city. It is extremely cheap and deadly.

So back to our friend Anwar Ibrahim...we all know hes been hanging out too long with these IMF lackeys, and strangely whatever his actions or decisions definitely fit to these western objectives. And sorry to say,it seems Anwar is the best trojan horse they have....

Whatever it is, i hope Anwar didnt think about that, but if he did...what can i say, u r not just betraying the malays, u betraying us all...Or maybe Anwar didnt even know about it, that he will be used for this purposes...Cause most of the foreign funds he requests, the terms of conditions, Malaysia need to bring down the barriers....U should ask him Suhaimi Ganu, what is the PFI (private fund initiative) terms.

U dont need 4 years to make these PFI brought down our walls, it only needs 6 months to take effect. By then its too late....even u root out Anwar after that.

And for DAP, what is their difference between PAP in Singapore?

If the Illuminati does not exist why did RPK mention about TC member Tan Sri Dato’Azman Hashim. as for Chandra - well we may not take him seriously as he attacked Anwar before the GE.
I did not write anything about Anwar before GE, as I want BR or BA to do exceeding well. But now they did too well. And the time has come that he can become PM; would you rather have a foreign dictated agent as your PM or a non foreign agent.
Franklty, I don't know if he is still linked to them - that why I said to ask him now and once and for all confirm his status for us all.
Only ignorant people shrug it off.
In USA 60 over per cent of the people now believe 9/11 was caused by them.
Pls for those who are ignorant - SHUT UP and read thru the websites that abound and learn.

    Salam,

Sekian.

In case some of us may forget, when the market crash back in 1997, Anwar whom was the finance minister at that time was promoting world bank / IMF presciption, ( same prescripption to Korea / Thailand ). It sounds good, but what many not aware are the conditions, most importantly PENGHAPUSAN HAK KEISTIMEWAAN ORANG MELAYU, DEB etc. We were lucky that TDM stood up against that and came with a solution. From what I've heard, the old guy said he saw no light at the end of tunnel. But Allah showed the way..

From that point Anwar is someone, as far as Malay is concerned, we cant' trust. And it's no secret that his guy has very close relationship with the US anyway and we cannot allow such country like the US dictate our national agenda.

Anwar is just another politician who thinks only about his personal agenda. someone who walks the talk? i very much doubt.

You asked what is the difference between the DAP and the Spore PAP?

Well, for starters, Singaporeans have never voted the PAP govt out of power. Ever since Spore became an independent country.

Second, the PAP govt in Spore has led the country to almost-developed status with a per capita GDP (at PPP) of US$48,900 in 2007.

Third, the PAP govt in Spore has managed to set up 2 of the biggest SWFs (sovereign wealth funds) in the world with assets in excess of US$400 billion. Not bad for a small city state that was kicked out of Malaysia!

Fourth, Singapore is busy re-inventing itself to become the New York, Zurich and Monaco of Asia - a place where the rich and ultra-rich come to live, work, invest and play.

All this without anything remotely resembling an NEP!

I think that Malaysian Malays have an inferiority complex in that they are scared of competition, globalisation and meritocracy.

The same Malaysian Malays who, when they migrate to other countries, are perfectly willing to compete with others in all areas - education, business, the professions etc.

Seems to me that such esoteric concepts are alien to your way of thinking. Which is an indirect comment on your own particular worldview.

Rumours has it that Anwar is trying to buy Sabah & S'wak BN reps to turn the parliament table around. How is he going to buy them anyway? promises? money? if money, where he gets them? does he have a multi bilion dolar business running. ? What does he do for a living? Is he earning some salary somewhere? Whom has been financing him since he was sacked ten years ago?.From his wife and children? does he still get pension? Who pays for all his overseas trip? Who pays for his roti canai? IMF?
    very expensive roti canai

Now, he was the finance minister after all.... hmm.
can we trust this guy? those question above are straight forward, an everyday man question, if answered, convincingly can be a base for his so called transparency agenda. Anwar has to explain this first and and for his supporters to think about.

Yes, his ideal sounds very appealing, (thats why it's called ideal anyway). But reality comes first. Dreams are for dreamer ( his dream of becoming PM). And reality is Anwar is just sweet talking, we have no real idea what he's up to.

And Joseph Estrada was his close friend? and the poor young, naive (at that time) daughter had to fly to prove it!! What happened to that clown now, and what's happening to philipines...

Listening to Anwar, one can get really entertained and wanting to believe. Unfortunately, we can only believe in facts and what is so clear in front of us.

Anwar can never be our leader. The 10th and 11th GE showed that he has no support from the majority of malaysians. The 12th GE is no measure for the appeal of Anwar. People just got sick of the present government, and Anwar just an opportunist playing along.

NOT conventional wisdom. we were lucky he was right. but it doesn't mean anwar was a traitor. there were many who were not aligned to him that agreed with him.

Read the following books, to appreciate the highly complex yet closely-linked powerful 'networks' and cronyism that goes on overtly and covertly in the world around us.

    1. The New Jerusalem, by Michael Collins Piper.
    2. The High Priests of War, same author.

VCD (on the 'inside job' of Sept-11 'planned-demolition' of World Trade Centre'--to create a "false flag" and "excuse" to blame "Muslims terrorists and dictators' then invade sovereign (oil-rich) nations illegally)) :
    1. LOOSE CHANGE
    2. REOPEN 9-11
    3. 911 EYEWITNESS :HOBOKEN
    (MANY MORE...)

Anwar is not just Anwar, There's more to it than meets the eye.........MALAYSIANS, WAKE UP!
For goodness sake, do NOT vote him.
PAS leaders and/or amended BN folks are a lot safer than him!
