Blood Bank Needs Blood

Tomorrow (Monday Oct 8), a blood donation campaign will be held on the grounds of Masjid Jamek Kampung Baru in Kuala Lumpur from 7.30pm..
ANSARA is organising the campaign for the National Blood Bank in anticipation of Hari Raya Puasa. Supply at the bank is at a critical level.
Last month, ANSARA co-organised a similar campaign with Utusan Malaysia.

Nuraina,

Donating blood is very healthy. Lessens risk of cardiovascular diseases.

Am speaking as a regular donor every 3 months without fail for the last 17 years. Not only am I healthier but happier with my body replenishing new blood. It also motivates me to live a healthy lifestyle.

PS: Your blog going to hit 250,000. How about lunch with Nuraina for the 250,000th visitor? hehe

Nuraina,

Thanks for the promotion here at 3540 Jalan Sudin.

The kick off for tomorrow has been retimed to 730pm. This is to allow more people space and opportunity to donate blood.

All are welcome. Non Muslims are also encouraged to participate in this humanitarian event being held in the grounds of the Masjid Jame Kampung Baru (not the prayer hall).

A million thanks in advance for all 3540 Jalan Sudin readers who will donate blood tomorrow.

Sdr Rocky Bru,

Thanks for your lunch offer. If am in KL, I will know how to contact you. hehe.

Anyway, am blessed with good health, so my regular ritual is the least I can do. I started this upon learning Sabah has the highest incidents of thalassaemia in the country. Patients with this condition need blood transfusion on a regular basis.

Another factor I am able to afford to do so is the easy pace of life in Sabah. If I were in KL, perhaps, I might not be able to do the same thing.
