Waves Of Regret In Selangor

A report by Malaysian Digest

ON the night of March 8, 2008, after the results of the 12th general election were announced, a retiree in Ijok, Kuala Selangor was dumbfounded when he was told that the Ijok state seat had been won by Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) candidate Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim.
The retiree was even more crushed upon learning that his beloved state of Selangor had been taken over by the Opposition.
A wave of regret took over. For as long as he had been exercising his voting right, he never once voted for any other party besides the scale-symbol Barisan Nasional (BN), until that year.

The man reasoned that he only voted for the Opposition this time because he wanted to send a message to the BN. He just didn't think it was possible for the BN to lose control of the state altogether.

The retiree is only one example of the thousands of Selangorians who, at the time, chose to not cast their vote or voted for the Opposition as a sign of protest towards the government.

Nuraina,I have been wondering how long you going to hibernate.Well, the only way Umno/BN will win back Selangor is if the reports of alledged invading foreigners(phamtoms)fourty five thousand and counting is true.If not we might even have a new federal gomen when Malaysians report for work Monday morning.Have a nice weekend.

The Only Regret we have is to see you being brutally robbed and yet hide it from the public so as not to make your political masters look bad.

My advice to PR - jangan gatal nak buat experiment and don't try to be smart lah.

Just plug-and-play towards vision 2020. That is the most simple and the most logical thing to do. Betul tak?

The power of Umno and the Malays????

Ms Nuraina, you can't be serious!

What about competitiveness and globalisation?

There are no more "free lunches".

And "subsidies" cannot continue from a purse that is not bottomless.

Simple truths.

But truths that you seemingly choose to ignore.

Now, why is that?

UMNO (Najib) should cut all the craps that it has given to the cina totok (a typical back stabbing community). The chinese has been given all the opportunity they wanted, but the true color always prevail, just a typical totok. Vendetta shall take it place.

Not so many regrets this time, an even stronger vote for the opposition.
