Our Condemnation Of Israel...

Ours and almost the entire world's.
Israel continues undeterred in its persecution and systematic extermination of the Palestinians -- as it has been doing for the past 60 years in the land the Zionist regime has been occupying.

The global voices reverberate. They are hard and strong. But Israel continues to disregard humanity and persists relentless in its atrocities.

Israel fears no one. Israel is the world's biggest terrorist and with wanton support and blessings of the US, it continues to inflict crimes against humanity in the Gaza and the Occupied Territories.

Our Malaysian voice maybe pipsqueak, inconsequential and cannot therefore possibly make a difference. Right?

It matters not. We continue to make noise.

I remember how loud our little voice was when we condemned apartheid in South Africa and ethnic cleansing in the Balkans.

TODAY, I am deeply proud that we are one -- our government and us, Malaysians -- in our condemnation of Israel's atrocities and in urging the UN General Assembly to immediately set up an International Crimes Tribunal to investigate and prosecute Israelis guilty of war crimes.

We brought this to Parliament.

Bless y'all, Malaysians!

Thank you, Anak Si Hamid for reminding us of the words of Moshe Yaalon, then the Israeli Defense Forces chief of staff, in 2002:

The Palestinians must be made to understand in the deepest recesses of their consciousness that they are a defeated people.

Let's do more than just making our voices heard. Boycott all companies that supports Israel. Stop buying their products. Don't be one of those who indirectly contribute to the killing of children and innocent people.

US in coming to new presidency must alter course. Else it is in collision course with the rest of the world.

    Dear Nuraina,

I wonder why would the Israelis listen to us when the won't listen to the UN. Isn't the UN speaking on behalf of the world?

Sorry, I do not for a moment would like to belittle the efforts of many but deep down I think we are wasting our time with the demos and all these boycotts.

I once participated in the demo against invasion of Iraq, I had nightmares during the Iraq invasion and woke up screaming. I cared too much and when you care too much it hurts!! After a few weeks all was lost. Look at Iraq today, was it any better than it was before the invasion. Look at Afghan..The children watched and harbour revenge and hatred and when they are big enough to handle weapons the killing will continue. It is a vicious circle.

Show/Name me a war that was halted due to demos and boycott and I will join your cause, otherwise the only way to fight a war - is the way it is fought today in Gaza - sad, so so sad.

I will pray to Allah and ask for his Merciful to protect the children of Gaza, and that is all I believe worthy because only that could make a change - if God wills it to be so.

Thanks and I am sorry if I have hurt some people's feelings, the intent is not but just to share my thoughts.

    Take care

I am Malaysian and I am of the view Israel action in Gaza is justifiable. The Gazans elected Hamas into power. Hamas seeks the destruction of Israel. Israel is therefore justified to destroy Hamas before Hamas can destroy Israel. It is sad to see civilian die but in all wars, civilian die as collateral damage. Just as the German population have to bear the consequence of the acts of the Hitler Government they put into power, the Gazans will have to bear the consequence of the acts of the Hamas Government the Gazans have put into power. If let say Singapore change their Constitution that seek the destruction of Malaysia, send some sucide bombers into Malaysia from time to time, lob a few rockets into Malaysia from time to time, I think it is wholly justfiable for Malaysia to attack Singapore and destroy its capacity to wage war against Malaysia and to seek its destruction. That's how I see it.

Why are we holding banners and shouting out loud, punching our fists to the sky. What did we achieved? After all that yelling and letting off steam, the young ones mount their bikes and go back to rempiting. The rest drop by their watering holes and mamak stalls for their teh tarik. Others go home and have a good lunch.

    Kita ni buat sibok aje.

Those countries in the middle east bordering Gaza and Israel do not even lift a finger or meaningful gesture to assit their own kind.

Anyone with some grey matter will know why. They want Israel to get rid of Hamas permanently so that Fatah can gain control of Gaza. Fatah has given up the "Drive the Jews into the sea" slogan. Fatah is willing to negotiate a settlement so that the Palestinians can get their lives together. The Arab nations are more condusive to a "live and let live" policy.

The dispute between muslims and jews in the holy lands is not a century old. It has been going on since religion first appeared to mankind.

So who are we kidding that peace will ever come to the region. "Peace" in it's literal form will only come about when either is permenantly wiped off the face of this earth.

One does not have to like one's neighbout to survive. That is the only way to co-exist in the troubled land.

So instead of jumping up and down like idiots, why don't we pray to our own GODS to help them.

perhaps to many, our voice is puny.mere nothing.but that's better than to shut our mouth and hide our emotions inside.protest the killing of babies by the Zionis.protest the killing of civilians who only uses rock to combat against Zionis tanker.

the whole world is protesting against the merciless attack by Zionis.even people in Israel gathered and condemned the act done by their govt!
