Pak Lah To Step Down in June 2010..

UPDATE!

Abdullah Ahmad Badawi will step down as Umno president and Prime Minister in June 2010. This is confirmed.

He will then hand over power to his deputy, Najib Abdul Razak.

Yes.. Najib is his chosen successor.

My earlier posting!

According to Malaysiakini, Umno president Abdullah Ahmad Badawi is expected to announce that there will be no contest for the top two posts in Umno.

He will be making the announcement after the party's supreme council meeting which he chaired this afternoon.

Malaysiakini cited Umno sources saying that Abdullah will stay on as Umno president (and PM) until June 2010. After that he will hand over the presidency (and premiership) to his deputy Najib Abdul Razak.

Still waiting for confirmation. But if that is true....whoa! A very looong two years!

Kenapa penulis menyatakan betapa BODOH-nya orang-orang UMNO? Kerana selagi mereka membiarkan si AAB memegang kerusi Presiden dan menjadi Perdana Menteri, selagi itulah kuasa UMNO lama kelamaan akan terhakis malah besar kemungkinan akan lupus sebaik keputusan Pilihanraya Umum ke 13 diumumkan. A Lu Fikirlah Sendiri wahai ahli UMNO yang BODOH sebodohnya.

ABB by putting his retiring plan on the table, is a step in the right direction and most welcome in this time of uncertainty. This will bring less politicking within UMNO and strengthening of BN. The impact will be stability in our country financial market and the economy. That is what the people need badly.

However the no confidence vote motion by PR against AAB is an act to sabotage AAB effort. To me, it is not constructive and anti establishment.

After the March election, most people are getting poorer, KLCI dropping, Ringgit weakening, our assets value deteriorating, standard of living declining, politician's character rotting. you and me fighting.

Who to blame for all those problems. I only blame myself. I donated and vote for the opposition causes to make myself poorer.

I hope and pray that they come back to their senses.

Cheers

Sis Ena
At last, a no two-ways about it revelation on leadership succession. In early 2007, I attended a public forum in Riyadh and the highly respected host introduced Najib to the audience as "Malaysia's next Prime Minister". And Najib country. Masin mulut you all ...

It will be interesting to see whether the MSM will also witness leadership changes leading up to the handover.

A cheeky question, is the question mark still needed in the title?

1. Perhaps now's the time for Malaysian R&D to join forces in conjuring up a "Time Machine".

2. Next destination in time : June, 2010 please

With hindsight, you're right to put ? in the original title. As it turned out, the changing of guard did take place 2 months earlier. Here to a bright future.
