Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah has offered himself for the Umno presidency.
The 71 year-old Gua Musang MP told a Press conference in Kota Baru today that if there are enough nominations for him to contest in the Umno election, "I will give my service if I am needed.”
He is offering "to heal the party" which he described to be "in a bad way".
In 1987, Tengku Razaleigh challenged then Umno president Dr Mahathir Mohamad but lost.
The Gua Musang division chief said he was “young” then and ever ready to challenge anyone with his ideas.
“I still have ideas, I am still brave because I am independent and I don’t depend on anyone. If my service is still needed and my strength can still be used, I am offering myself to work for the rakyat.
"Even though I am old but I am still strong."

KU LI PALU GENDANG PERANG!
ReplyDeleteGedang perang telah dipukul bertalu-talu. Gegak gempita Tanah Malaya. Muncung-muncung meriam sedang dihalakan ke Mahligai Putra Jaya. Serunai ditiup sayup-sayup bunyinya.

I have expected this development. As I said before, the music is getting louder and faster for Pak Lah! The situation is getting hotter for him just to sit cool in his seat. Poor Pak Lah , he could not see and could not fathom the implication. So he had said, he did not lose, he still win. Hehe Poor Pak Lah. As for Mahathir, he dia not do it mistakenly by appointing Pak Lah as his successor, he did it purposely, he knew all along of Pak Lah's capacity. But he did not expect that not so able person would not follow his music. He he, Mahathir no need to apologise, we all knew all along why you had picked Pak Lah as your successor. Now you have to take all this as you sre responsible for all these UMNO downfall! Nobody will believe UMNO anymore !!

But when scenes are far from being swell
There'll be loud cries for open revenge

Well done, Ku Li. U R the best prime minister we never had.
ReplyDeleteNow is the time to realign and to regroup. UMNO must avoid in-fighting and individual like Tengku Razaleigh have been known to create the atmosphere of uneasiness as demonstrated by his actions against TDM which resulted in the BN losing Kelantan to PAS up to now. If you are saying that Tengku is the one to mend UMNO, I beg to differ. Remember his action destroyed UMNO once and he can do it again. Pak Lah only mistake is to hold on to ALL (UMNO officials and the Cabinets) that he inherited from TDM. He should have made all the bold changes then as what he is doing now. He was given the biggest amndate to change but he prefers to stick his inheritance. But beware that Pak lah might have planned all this all along. I heard that the result of the 12th election is the outcome of a grand design aimed at eliminating some of the top guns which otherwise would never can been eliminated if BN do well. How are Pak lah going to reject Samy Vellu if he is still elected Sungai Siput's MP. Or get rid of rafidah when BN is doing well. With the existing results Pak Lah can do almost anything. The only flaw of the said grand design is that BN lost the 2/3 majority. This is totally unexpected. Even losing some states is still tolerable. If not for 2/3 majority, everything would have been well-placed for the BN's final assault to get rid of DSAI once and for all. We shall now see what next install for us for the next 4 years ....
ReplyDeleteWhat good will it do ? I mean the rot is so deep in UMNO and in fact it has become champion of clowns. Just look at its sorry state. Cant even accept defeat in a truly gentleman way. Instead they go "demon"stration and cause certain degree of unease. May be we dont have to go into detailed study of what happened in May 13 as this is already enough evidence. If in this time and age they are administering their agenda by wantom show of rugged racism.. what they would have done then.. How Ku Li going to help UMNO to grasp the changing reality of politics is beyond me.
