Have You Seen Nayati?

I don't know if a NUR Alert has been activated for 12 year-old Nayati Shamelin Moodliar. He was reported to have been abducted by two men in a black car while on his way to school in Mont Kiara near Sri Hartamas.
He is a student of the Mont Kiara International School.

His distraught parents just want their only child back and has appealed to his abductors to return him safely.

We all pray for his safety and wellbeing and that he will be found -- safe and sound.

Prime Minister Najib Razak joined the chorus of Malaysian on social media to help search for Nayati. He tweeted last night that he has "spoken directly to IGP (Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Ismail Omar) to investigate the matter.

That's great. Let's hope he'll do the same for the next missing child.

Those with information, please contact police at 999; the school at 03-2093-8604 or 013-681-6085.

And to crank callers -- I hope you break your leg....

I don't think Najib will call the IGP if the child is just an ordinary Malaysian. But anyway, I hope the boy will be returned back to his family, safe and sound.

I agree with Otak Geliga. This is not about family background, status etc. A child goes missing, and someone is doing something about it. Don't turn this into something political. Nayati's parents have the benefit of friends recording their appeal video and that went viral but that's about it. So they're foreigners. So? Does that make this case any less tragic than the rest? Just pray for the child and stop over-analysing reaction from politicians etc. Everybody means well.

Hi Nuraina. I'm sure you know that Nayati was found today. Something in this matter made me think. I don't know if he was on the Nur Alert. But from what I have read previously on your blog, the alert does not go out if the police think it is a kidnap case.
I think we can learn something from Nayati's case. The family did not wait for 24 hours. Leaflets were printed, fb pages & twitter accounts were created. Information was spread far & wide within 24 hours. Nearly everyone that was connected on the e-highway knew about Nayati.
Maybe that's what we should do. The families of some of the previous missing children may not be internet savvy. But others like us should be able to disseminate the info fast. With the permission of the parents of course.

The image of the Mont Kiara school student's kidnappers in the video clip will not be made public, for Malaysians to help police in apprehending the culprits.

But the police will issue images of BERSIH participants to seek public help to arrest them.
    Ada logic?

    Malaysia Boleh?
