Steve Jobs who was born to a 23 year-old unwed German-American, was adopted when he was a baby.
According to Shirin Sadeghi of THIS online journal, his father was Abdul Fattah Jandali, a young Syrian Muslim immigrant in Wisconsin.
His biological mother was Joanne Schieble. In those days (the year was1955) "there was no chance he'd be able to grow up with his biological parents."
Here's the article:
SAN FRANCISCO -- Abdul Fattah Jandali, a young Syrian Muslim immigrant in Wisconsin, never met his son Steve Jobs. When a baby was born to the 23-year-old Jandali -- now known as John -- and his 23-year-old German-American girlfriend, Joanne Schieble, in 1955, there was no chance he'd be able to grow up with his biological parents.
Joanne, who belonged to a white, conservative Christian family could not convince her parents to marry an Arab, a Muslim, according to Jandali, who called her father "a tyrant" in a New York Post interview in August 2011. In fact, according to Jandali, she secreted off from Wisconsin to liberal San Francisco to sort out the birth and adoption without letting either him or her parents know.
And so it was that a nameless Arab American baby was adopted by an Armenian American family. Clara Hagopian and her husband Paul Jobs had been married around seven years and had not been able to conceive. The little bundle that would be Steve, was very much wanted in the Jobs household.
Steve Paul Jobs, as they named him, grew up without ever knowing his biological father. It seems he had no interest in knowing him later in life, either. When, in August 2011, the London tabloid The Sun, contacted Jandali, he publicly reached out to Steve saying, "“I live in hope that before it is too late he will reach out to me. Even to have just one coffee with him just once would make me a very happy man.”
But Steve never replied. Less than two months later, he has passed away.

The conclusion is an unwed child most probably would become a brilliant !
ReplyDeleteseems like he wants to remained as armenian-american
ReplyDeletethank god he didn't end up with his father!
ReplyDeleteAnd your point is?
ReplyDeletemae1000: dont know about other kids of unwed mothers....
ReplyDeleteanon@4:26PM: dont know about that either.
anon@6:04PM: hmmm....we don't know what he would have been had he lived with his father. certainly a good thing he never lived in syria.
anon@7:17PM: er....should i have a point?
Abdul Fattah John Jandali works as VP at a Nevada casino
ReplyDeletewho is to say he wouldn't grow up to be Steve JANDALI Apple co-founder and CEO, had he been raised by both his biological parents? he probably would still be who he was, only with a different name. john jandali lives in america, so the opportunities are all there. one thing for sure, he wouldn't have been a muslim either way though... so, this story is just a story, one of many stories about him which are bound to come out sooner or later
ReplyDelete-Sue
i meant, 'he wouldn't have been brought up as a muslim either way...'
ReplyDeleteanon@7:26PM: yes...according to the article..
ReplyDeleteanon@8:10AM:we wouldn't know that. granted his biological dad is not a practicing Muslim but we really wouldn't know what Jobs wld have been had he grown up with abdul Fattah.
sue; sure, yes.
ReplyDeleteDoubt Steve wanna be associated with the Muslim, Arab part. I have yet to come across any articles where he commented anything about his biological dad. But he is quite open about he being an adopted child and all. He spoke about his biological mom quite a bit. Guess he rather be known as German American like his biological mom.
ReplyDeleteWhich is ok really.
I have a friend of Malay Chinese parentage. His dad is Chinese and mom is Malay but in his birth cert he is stated as a Malay. So he follows his mom's race.
Guess Steve rather follows his mom's race after all like my Malay friend.
Karim
without jandali, jobs will not exist...without biological parents he was not in this world at first.
ReplyDeleteOf all the things to say - this really demonstrates your small small mind.
ReplyDeletekarim:i'll say it again -- we really don't know that.
ReplyDeleteanon@3:05PM: I've got news -- i think your mind is way smaller...
He was actually an UMNO member and a Malay.
ReplyDeleteThat's better than being a terrorist, right?
Was he really an Arab? Come on when do "Araps" accept anyone who does not belong to their kin by bith to be accepted as an Arab? Let us look at the fate of millions of workers in the Arab states who are subject to indiscriminate discrimination in everyday life while they are more Arabic than Steve Jobs by speaking Arabic and knowing their customs and have adopted their religion thru import etc. Now a become famous man is all of sudden a famous Arab? He was in first instance an American, thanks to his adoptive parents one of whom was of armenian decent.
ReplyDeleteanon@9:06PM: oh...whatever your clouded mind finks, i mean, thinks..
ReplyDeletesajjad khan: you don't have to believe that he was born a syrian. nobody asks you to believe that. and it's not a story that was made up. but oh...don't believe what you read, right? also don't believe that steve jobs was a (zen) buddhist. in fact, he is still alive. but don't believe that either.
steve jobs tu bumiputra ke?
ReplyDeleteSo were and still are all the trouble makers and terrorists, they too are from that part of the world.
ReplyDeleteBesides why was he allowed to carry the name of a christian and not of a muslim ? This too applies to all the millions of African Americans and most of them were from that part of the world too.
On top of all that he was freed to pray to a God of his choice and not forced to pray to Allah. Most important of all Arabia is no where near Malaysia, so trying to claim him to be one of you.
Sometime ago I happened to be in Arabia and most of the Arabs I came across don't even know where Malaysia is or even heard of Malaysia. Besides Malaysia is not a part of Arabia and stop trying to claim Malaysia is in Arabia just because Steve Job's biological father was an Arab and you failed to mention that his mother is a non Arab. Besides one swallow does not make a summer.
And why was his dead body not taken away by the religious body ion America just like they do in Malaysia ?
najib manaukau: i have no idea where you're coming from. i do suggest you read the article (not written by me) carefully as it answers all those nagging questions of yours.
ReplyDeletelet me just tell you what was written about Steve Jobs: that he was adopted at birth by non-Muslims and that's why he did not have a Muslim name nor was he a Muslim.
And his birth mother was German-American, according to the article.
the rest of your ravings and rantings -- well, you figure it out yourself. i can't help you if you cannot understand what was written.
when did anyone claim jobs is one of us??
ReplyDeleteand when did anyone claim malaysia is in arabia????
that najib manaukau guy is completely way off!! kesian orang macam tu, they hear only what they wanna hear and not what others are actually saying
more to that steve jobs story, i think, if he wasn't given up for adoption, he would've become steve simpson, like his sister mona who took the step-father's name. mona was probably bitter due to the father's abandonment after the divorce.. still, am quite sure he wouldn't have been BROUGHT UP as a muslim either way.

sue: ditto
ReplyDeleteWhy should S P Jobs reach out to someone who never remembered his own offspring in the 50+ years before? It is just as strange as these Arabs are now claiming that he was an Arab? This is because he reached more popularity and had more followers than Prophet Mohammed as an idol. It is American way of life that made him what he was. In my view he was an Armenian because of his parentage who raised him and enabled him to become what he was.
