Of coast Terengganu has to be one of the best spots for snorkeling, beachside bbq, star gazing and romatic island escapade at Pulau Perhentian.
ReplyDeleteHowever...
There are lots of nice tourist spots in Malaysia don't get me wrong.
But...
There's always a problem with accessibility eg. public transport or lack thereof. Also, tourists sometimes feel ripped off eg. KL taxi drivers. Bus drivers drive too fast and fatal crashes are often.
At Pulau Perhentian, the boat drivers push their boats way too fast. I sometimes see the tourists and their children hang on to dear life.
Tourism only works when there is accessibility, integrity and safety. Otherwise, no matter how nice a place is, no tourist would want to revisit or recommend the destination to friends and relatives.
The object of tourism in dollars and cents is the repaid visit. Also, the most important factor in successful tourism is word of mouth which no advertising dollar can do whether it be in print or electronic media.
Blog4FT seems to have inspired Blog4TT! That's good, Ena. Imagine, just a couple of years ago, they wouldn't touch blogs and now they are encouraging everyone to blog.
