The fella is not really pea-brained! He has been effectively indoctrinated. We must remember that the BTN has been in existent for many years. He honestly believes that the "malays"(originaly malayu from Indonesia)are the so-called sons of the soil ( not the orang aslis) and all other Malaysians are but "pendatangs"Actually we are all "pendatangs" using the real sense of the word.Resigning from his position will save our PM from some minor embarassments. Its no big deal really.
But really can you fault him? He probably was one of those BTN facilitators where he was paid to craft out and drum those things into people's heads. He was not saying anything new was he? Samy and his MIC friends have just taken to opportunity to scream and shout whereas they too kept quiet while the whipping went on. Why cry out now? In terms of unusual conduct it would be MIC, MCA and the other complainants who are out of sync with their usual behaviour. Not Najib's special officer. I feel he has been scapegoated!!

The result of years of false indoctrination and brain washing and now they start to truely believe in it, doesnt matter if it is all lies and mere concoctions of politicians.
This hatred has been developed over the years. I dont know if it can now be controlled or reversed. Looking at the BN controlled media such as Utusan, it will only get worse.
Maybe he deserve to explain the basic of his comment. If he meant for current situation whereby there were massive entry of ppl with visa on arrival ( VOA) stataus he may partially right..but if meant for massive entry of ppl during British time he deserve to apologized. Just my 2 cent opinion. Cheers!
Please for crying out loud proof that these people are not pendatang themselves. Even The P.M. forefathers came from Bugis in Indonesia, does that not make P.M. and the descendants pendatang ?
yes astounding. i can't believe he is that stupid. so, could he have a lapse? or forgot his medication?
We are assuming he had undergone BTN. I know many people who went thru BTN training, but never turned out being racist or have hatred for other races.
come on. you can't be that stupid to say all those things when you are the PM's special officer.
everyone has conspiracy theories. one i heard today was that he was a mole in Najib's outfit. that what he said was timed to coincide with Anwar's sodomy trial, Najib's visit to malacca today (or tomorrow).
don't look at me. i'm not one to hurl accusations at people.
i just think that this guy is an idiot. altho i know i could be so so wrong.
i don't know in what context he meant when he said that the early Indian immigrants had come to Malaysia to beg and their Chinese counterparts were here to sell their bodies.
Maybe he was just reading Najib's speech during the UNITY function? It was perhaps done to put the pendatangs and keturunan penjual tubuhs in their proper place, so that we can have harmony and live in the spirit of 1Malaysia? So UMNO can continue to JUAL-LAH RAKYAT.
Whatever this special officer meant over the "begging" part, it should be interesting to note that today, we are now actively seeking FDI from India and China. As you know India and China are now themselves receiving FDI from all over the world and are now themselves going around shopping as to where to put all this extra cash they have. So what a paradox here i think.
Let's all live as one pepole regardless of race, language or religion.
I'd like to relate to you my S'pore experience and pardon me for doing so as some of you may not like it.
In Singapore in the 60’s, immediately after the separation from Malaysia on 9th August 1965 before the introduction of National Service, the Prime Minister, Mr Lee Kuan Yew, introduced ‘The Pledge’ in all primary and secondary schools which read as follows:
“We, the citizens of Singapore, pledge ourselves as one united people, regardless of race, language or religion, to build a democratic society based on justice and equality so as to achieve happiness, prosperity and progress for our nation”.
This was done to instill loyalty, discipline and unity in all the young people of Singapore, both boys and girls regardless of race, language or religion to ensure that the state’s desire to build a democratic society based on justice and equality so as to achieve happiness, prosperity and progress for the small nation. Singapore then was under threat of communism and other leftist movements where the majority of their members were Chinese and to thwart these movements, all Chinese schools were closed and instead, national and integrated schools were introduced.
Gradually, vernacular schools such as Malay and Indian schools were closed as they were getting less and less popular even amongst the Malays and the Indians themselves. However, Chinese (Mandarin), Malay and Tamil were offered as optional subjects in both primary and secondary schools. The integrated schools had two streams, Chinese and English streams and there were also integrated technical schools offering technical subjects which were taught in the two different streams up to the ‘O’ level equivalent qualification either in Grade 1, 2 or 3. At the same time, other types of schools like religious schools such as Madrasah Aljunied, Madrasah Ipoh Lane, Madrasah Wak Tanjong, etc. which mainly taught Islamic subjects and Arabic, were allowed to continue and at the same time English language was also made compulsory in these schools.
The system worked very well, beliefs in communism and extreme socialism were totally eliminated and the schools produced moderate government friendly bilingual students with either an academic or technical education up to School Certificate which was equivalent to the ‘O’ levels, at least and all spoke English. Many went on to enter polytechnics, colleges and universities for their diplomas and degrees. Some opted to further their studies overseas. Of course, the few remaining hard cores were put in jail, re-orientated and re-educated before being released. All students who obtained their ‘O’ levels, Pre-university (Higher School Certificates), diplomas and degrees, were snapped up by the job market offered by the many government departments, ministries, quasi-government bodies and the many private companies offering goods and services, shops, restaurant, hotels and factories and many more which were set up in the island state and were growing at a tremendous rate including in the building and construction sectors, shipping, airline and the oil and gas sectors.
Everything has since been based on meritrocacy.
I wish to suggest that, to make the 1Malaysia concept more successful, all students in both primary and secondary schools in both national and private in the country, must be made to take a pledge in order to instill in each and every one of them loyalty to the country, one who professes the importance of unity, observes and practices it and maintains a high standard of discipline in order to build a democratic society while conscientiously improving it based on justice and equality so as to achieve happiness, prosperity and progress for our beloved nation.
Some of you who are good at writing verses should come oout with a 'Pledge' in Malay and send them to the PM and the MOE for use in all Malaysian schools.
I am a proud "immigrant". My grandfather migrated to British Malaya with very little money but a great deal of self-respect. He worked hard, even labouring in the early days, to get himself off the ground, married, bought property, educated his children (some to university) and lived to see all his grandchildren attend British and other universities (without any Govt aid). He was a pillar of his community and taught me the value of thrift (even at the risk of being called kedekut),hardwork and education.
Nothing wrong in being an immigrant. As for selling your body we all do one way or other. My grandfather used his muscles and I use my brain.
Yet we did not sell our self-respect or morality, something that some (including 'Malays') were forced to do. Nor did we have to 'pajak' sarongs at the local pawnshop to put food on the table. We do not disrespect those who had to.
We are humble and hardworking. We treat everyone with respect. But no shit is going to threaten me or mine. Of that you can be sure.
