BN Claims Power In Perak...

NST Online has the story. And I tell you I'm on tenterhooks keeping up with what's going on.

Also read Malaysiakini.

DPM Najib Abdul Razak has now declared that Perak Barisan Nasional has secured the majority of state seats to form a new Perak Government after three PKR assemblymen and a DAP assemblywoman have left their respective parties to join the BN.

The four wakil rakyat -- Nasarudin Hashim (PKR-Bota), Hee Yit Foong (DAP-Jelapang) and self-proclaimed Bebas reps Jamaluddin Mohd Radzi (Behrang) and Mohd Osman Mohd Jailu (Changkat Jering) -- had headed for the DPM's office in Putrajaya..

Looks like the situation in Perak is a bit haywire. A mess. And that's putting it mildly.

Perak Menteri Besar Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin, meanwhile, announced an immediate dissolution of the state assembly.

He told a press conference in Ipoh that he is seeking an audience with the Sultan of Perak to obtain his consent. (Bernama)

He had claimed that Nasaruddin was "taken" from his house in Ipoh by two BN assemblymen supposedly to meet Raja Muda Raja Dr Nazrin Shah in Kuala Lumpur earlier today.

Nizar also claimed that Nasarudin, who defected to PKR last week, was "abducted" by these people to meet Najib.

And Opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim has accused BN of trying to form the (Perak) government 'by hook or by crook'.

".... more by crook", he told AFP. "We must go back to the people and get a fresh mandate," he said.

What lies ahead in Perak? So much uncertainty. And so much wrong, no matter where you're looking.

Well...that's one huge stage yonder. Quite comic(al). Except that no one's laughing.

    Najib:

How this guy is going to shake of the excesses of his wife and himself from the time they knew each other (while married to other people) until he became a serious PM contender is something I will watch with anticipation and trepidation (not for me but for him). It will take a monumental effort to contain their goings on - sexual and financials. Can you imagine the amount of money that would be required to keep everybody quite? What contracts, projects, tenders have to be kautim in order to contain these possible exposures - anyone of which , if they become public knowledge, will mean no more Sri Perdana? The mind boggles...

  3. Hi Kak Ena,

Interesting kan when Anwar complained "... BN of trying to form the (Perak) government 'by hook or by crook."

Its bad and its wrong but I dont think he has any ground to complain. That was what he tried to do on 916 i.e. asking BN reps to cheat the voters and defect.

So I'll just say to him "padan muka."

ANd BN should not do this either. It is still bad and wrong.

  5. Looks like it's haywire for PR and highwire for BN. We can all expect the highly respected Sultan Azlan Shah to decide wisely, taking into account the people's interest.

  6. Good evening Nuraina,

Yes the show is comical and no one is laughing because it is absolutely stupid! What do our elected reps and their leaders think they are doing.

Instead of serving the rakyat who voted them on their promise to serve, they betrayed the rakyats by all these. It doesn't matter whether they are from BN or PR. They all owe the Malaysian rakyat one big explanation. Instead of working on coming up with solutions to the current economic situation affected by the global economic contraction, they spent their time hiding away stealing off to make secret pacts to cheat on the rakyat. What a shame. The rakyat will always remember these people in the next election.

  7. WHAT COSTS MOST WHEN GHOSTS PLAY HOST?

While some politicians play their games like 'ghosts'
The ordinary folks are the people who suffer the most
Does it matter now which party is playing the 'host'
When ultimately everybody needs to consider the cost

  10. Live by the sword...die by one...and so it has come to pass that Anwar now has a taste of his own medicine. The defections he had once hoped to happen has finally started its long predicted momentum but alas it has gone against him. Like Pak Lah the momentum was there for him to seize when the opposition won control of five states in the last election - but the heady days of victory and power was too exciting to let go - and playing politics rather then governing became the norm. And now the end will start to come not only for Anwar but for the grand design that came with the victory at the last election - and as always God is on the side of those with money and big armies...and as always we await the return of rampant corruption, greed and money politics as UMNO return to the fore with Najib at its apex. Did the Rakyat really thought that Truth, Justice and Fairness will really prevail? Greed overcomes all other consideration. Amen.

Two can play the game. And as usual, it was started by Anwar Ibrahim. And when things don't go his way, he will play the blame game.

And you expect me to trust politicians?

Two wrongs don't make a right.

  13. So much uncertainty in Perak. You are right, Kak Nuriana. As a former Perakian ,born and educated in Perak, I weep for Perak! The present situation is chaotic, with both BN and Pakatan having 28 seats each. Will BN lower itself and form a new coalition with the three turncoat representatives. What is going to happen should the two alleged politicians be found guilty, assuming , of course, that our Judiciary is independent. Will the sulking ex-DAP politician be contented if she is not given a senior Ex-Co job. Will she jump again? In all likelihood, she may.
His Highness the Sultan of Perak, indeed, has a difficult decision to make.Should the people be allowed to decide ?Meanwhile, the care-taker Government will carry on its function minus the three turncoats .Yah, you are right...so much uncertainty!

    Dear Aina,

    Perak O Perak O Perak
    Nizar O Nizar O Nizar
    PR O PR O PR
    What a shamble !!!!

By profession he is an engineer
But by wit he has no wisdom
Look who is accompanying and near
All the ‘slunting eyes’ that long ago left their kingdom!

By race he is a true Malay
But by heart he has no such feeling
Look who is behind him to advice and say
All the blackies that angers when called ‘keling’!

By the face he looks a real ‘Melayu’
But by the actions done he potrays a different grace
He is a Pas member that differs from Pok Nik, Hadi or even you
Coz he easily befriending ‘kafirs’ rather than his own race!

    Nizar O Nizar
    Don’t be bizzare
    Perak O Perak
    Don’t be in the dark
    See the light that shines
Join the hands offered by BNs!!

(This is just a humorious poem or rather a ‘stupid-sajak’ by a commoner like me! No hard feelings guys…))

Beaten at his own game, now the mob leader says the referee is unfair.

The Blue Blitz gang will definitely swing into action by using rebel justice, this very moment.

But if it was the other way round, then it is sweet justice.

    Heck, nobody ever wonders
who the deputy bandit of PKR/PR really is.

What if suddenly Anwar gets a back ache or a sprained neck and needs his deputy to take over? What will happen to the horses running with blinkers?

They will probably be running around like headless chickens.

    A GOOD MAN DOES NOTHING.

For what it's worth, Anwar lost his moral high ground when he accepted the defection of the Bota ADUN. He has also been talking about defections from BN for him to form the federal govt. He should have used this GE to consolidate the PR partnership and prepare for the next GE by demonstrating that PR can govern effectively in the states that they have won. Unfortunately, he did not.
As it is said, what is good for the goose is good for the gander and we reap what we sow.

    Cheers,

Juta tu bukan sikit, sampai tujuh keturunan pun tak habis.

Enjoy gila lah.., miss world pun boleh bawa keluar. Tapi kena pandai hayat laa. Tapi kat malaysia nie pun banyak aweks2 cun. Cuma kalau nak selamat pergi oversea kat sana tak jawi.

Tak masuk syurga pun tak pa bai, kat dunia nie pun kau dah cukup enjoy. Juta tuu.. kalau kau takut simpan sikit buat pergi haji. Mana tahu doa kau tu tuhan makbulkan. Dia orang yang lain sebenarnya cemburu, tak dapat sebab tu dia orang cerita macam2 pasal kau berdua. Kianat la, lompat parti la kalau dia orang dalam keadaan kau pun sama jugak, bayangkan kalau kepala agung dah berlonggok depan mata, kebas jaa laa.

Tengok muka korang pun dah tahu, muka pantat.

Bila aku bertukar jadi lain kat bawah nie pula aku cerita pasal kubur. Ingat la korang berdua, kata kan laa umur kau sekarang 45, kau rasa2 boleh tak hidup sampai 70tahun. Korang bukan mahathir dia doktor dia jaga kesihataan. Korang tu banyak virus, ntah-ntah esok dah jalan. Gurau ja..
