I'm just wondering. You know, just wondering . Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah -- Umno veteran and Gua Musang division chief -- has not got a single nomination yet.
Will he ever?
Deputy president Najib Abdul Razak has already got 65, way past the required minimum (58). Very foregone conclusion that Najib will win the post uncontested.
Ku Li, at the start of the power transition issue, had offered to contest the party's number one post.
Yeah. Who are we kidding..
I guess it is a done deal.
ReplyDeleteI rasa Tengku was purely a 'supersub' should Badawi decided to bertanding and Najib let him continue.
ReplyDeleteBut what make things went teribbly wrong for the Prince was his 'claimed statement' that he is in favour of a Kerajaan Campuran dengan pembangkang.
Definitely a no no issue with UMNO community at the moment. Not in this climate, at least
saya pun terkejut juga Ku Li tak mendapat undi. Sedangkan dia dah lama dok hu-ha 'membincang' kan tentang apa yang perlu dilakukan oleh UMNO.
ReplyDeleteHaha.
Herd mentality prevails always. Sad that we have only sheep who are supposed to be our leaders and from amongst them they pick the Prime minister of our country.
ReplyDeleteRazaleigh Bicycles was never a serious contender, especially so as he is a proven back-stabber with no clear policies to unite all M'sians.
ReplyDeleteAs for Rosemajibbed, there's many a slip 'tween cup and lip!!

The culture "show me the money" at work. So be it. Ku Li has changed and the culture is no more with him as he is getting older...well, its good for you Ku Li offering your wisdom but just say good bye. God knows more..
ReplyDeletethat means, umno members are not listening to others. be fair, they are all entitled to their own views....like i am entitled to mine.
ReplyDeletei think they are mostly balls-carrier. at least for those who are (erroneously) genuinely afraid of losing the mythical ketuanan-melayu thingy, i see no reason whatsoever to nominate najib. yeah, why not kuli? or muhiyyidin? i mean, ANYONE is better than najib (exceptions perhaps: toyol, kj, syed hamid albar....).
again i said, umno matters are its members' prerogative but i have an uneasy feeling that these goons (those 2000+ delegates) are deciding for 20++millions malaysians. surely, there's something wrong somewhere.
but what to do? i am preaching democracy. if that's what the "majority" wants, what can i say? when i have enough $$, i'd migrate to another country perhaps. because i am dead sure, they are NO future for non-malays in this country. heck, there are no future even for the average malays. only those umno-linked goons will prosper...and they have been (and still are at it, and will forever be at it) plundering the country forever more...
carmanio
It's clear all those wanting to get rid of Pak Lah when he insisted on defending his post as UMNO No 1 in December were making use of Ku Li as a potential challenger. With Pak Lah now out of the equation, all these people don't see any need for Ku Li. Hence they dump him unceremoniously. You can see that he did not even get 1 nomination. This is indeed the dark side of UMNO culture where you bodek/ampu winners and literally spit upon losers. If by a twist of fate Ku Li were to become PM again, the very same people who spit on him now will line up one by one to kiss his hand. Malu tersangat!!
ReplyDeleteKU LI LEBIH SESUAI MENYERTAI
ReplyDeletePAKATAN RAKYAT.
KEMUNGKINAN DAPAT JADI TIMBALAM PM
LEBIH ELOK DARIPADA TERUS KEKAL
DALAM UMNO CUMA JADI MP SAHAJA.
Seemed that UMNO is so herdish. Nobody dares to be different , but then they gossip and chatter behind the back. And then accuse bloggers of excesses for doing practically the same thing using another medium.
ReplyDeletePoor kuli
I'm no UMNO FAN BUT BETWEEN nAJIb and TENGKU...MY PICK WOULD BE Tenku
ReplyDeleteNajib $$$$$$$£££ vote
ReplyDeleteAccording to Rais, TRH should get the tender documents first.....
ReplyDeleteKu Li will find a way to withdraw from the race gracefully. No shame in that. What Ku Li has done is more than what Najib or Muhyddin -- the Kelantan prince set in motion a movement within Umno that forced the grassroots to look hard at their options. Together with Mahathir (and Muhyddin to a limited extent), Ku Li also forced Najib to make the bold stand to prevent Abdullah from continuing to sit on the throne until 2012.
ReplyDeleteNajib has these three men to thank.
Sebenarnya negara kita sedang melalui masalah ketandusan pemimpin yang benar-benar berkualiti - BN mahupun Pakatan Rakyat.
ReplyDeleteItu sebabnya, kita terpaksa memilih Yang Terbaik Dari Kalangan Yang Ada.
if i am not mistaken, ku li only wanted to take on paklah, not najib.
ReplyDeleteanyway, he is a ku li forever...
welcome back kak ina....kuli will get his nomination ultimately but maybe not enough to contest, what a shame.....
ReplyDeleteNuraini,
ReplyDeleteKu Li is needed by the nation but not to the UMNO delegates since Ku Li will never be able to dish out money like others. You have to play their game before you can be considered. Ku Li will join Rais Yatim and sail away into oblivion.
Nuraina, I know it's not related on the article I am posting the comment, but I would like to draw your attention to other urgent matters.
ReplyDeletePlease consider writing something about it.

Hi,
ReplyDeleteMy observation on Ku Li since his early days is that this man has never got it right because of either lack of good advise or just lack of awareness of what is going on in the world.....
The again so were the others...but they were streetwise in being able to slither through. Well..that comes with being a royalty...
Apabolehbuat

ReplyDeleteyou're doing a good job of it and a far more qualified person to offer ideas.
I go to your blog very frequently!
and i agree, the issue you put forth is urgent...
thanks...
Hari tu bukan main lagi bersuara. Macam orang semua nak dia sangat dah. Macam dia hebat sangat, berkemampuan dan mempunyai sokongan kuat. Sekali sekarang apa pun takda, harap bercakap je banyak.
