KUALA LUMPUR, March 10 (Bernama) -- Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, who was sworn in as the prime minister earlier Monday, chaired a meeting of the Umno Supreme Council here this afternoon.
The Umno president arrived at the party headquarters at 1.05pm for the meeting, the first following the general election on Saturday.
Abdullah, clad in a black traditional Malay attire, was welcomed by Umno deputy president Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and greeted with shouts of "Kami Sayang Pak Lah" (We Love Pak Lah) by a group of party supporters who had gathered at the vicinity of the Umno headquarters at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC).
The supreme council meeting is expected to discuss the outcome of the general election. The Barisan Nasional (BN) garnered 140 of the total 222 parliamentary seats to garner a simple majority and form the government.
This evening, Abdullah, who is the BN chairman, is scheduled to chair a meeting of the coalition's supreme council at which the appointment of Cabinet ministers is likely to be discussed.-- BERNAMA
Yeah they still love him. So he will definitely stay on. Will they dare tell him that he has a SIL who is a liability to him and UMNO?
ReplyDeleteHe will stay on until SIL is capable to stand on his own. If he steps down SIL will fall...hard
ReplyDeleteYeah- stay on Pak Lah, so that in the next election the remaining states will fall into the hands of the opposition party.....

Malaysia's surprise election results will undoubtedly be a "wake-up" call to current administration. But i believe in 3 months, the PKR adun of Selangor and Perak would start joining BN one by one. Why not? After all RM3 million for changing colours is a lot for these newly appointed Y.B.
ReplyDeleteSalaam. I think it is rude, un-democratic and un-Malay for anyone to call a democratically elected Kepala Batas MP, Pak Lah to resign.
ReplyDeleteAlso, its NOT Pak Lah's fault that BN performed badly as the blame must be shared equally by all its component parties.
I had high hopes Awang Adek will be the next Kelantan Menteri Besar but it was a shock to me when I heard Kelantanese gave PAS a two-thirds majority in Kelantan DUN, while at the same time BN lost its two-thirds majority in the Federal parliament.
Most of the BN ministers were quoted as giving their support to the Primie Minister. This reminded me of a situation in the Soviet Union (after the cuban missile crisis) whereby all the Soviet ministers were at the train station to wish best wishes and safe journey to Khrushchev when he went for his holidays. Not long after, they overthrow him. I don't suppose the Prime Minister will be making any overseas trips soon (just in case)
ReplyDeleteProbably the Rakyat should put up Malaysia's largest banner in front of PWTC to remind our PM that his time is up, just in case he didn't get the message LOUD and CLEAR.
ReplyDeleteI don't mind chipping in.
Pak Lah
ReplyDeletePack Lah
Pack up, Lah!
I am sick of the Fan Club of Kami sayang Pak Lah which I believe it was paid and arranged by dont know eho.. might be Reezal Merican 2nd wife artist?.. I dont know too. Anyhow, please lah ..this is not AF lah or popular contest. Is PM that desparate to have such a club or such endorsement, what a pity.. a bit childish isnt it?.. LOL.
ReplyDeleteamazing.. PakLah still cant see the writing on the wall..maybe still sleep walking.
ReplyDeleteAll his eunuchs are telling him they love him and he looks great. Now, I understand why the SIL shop in Pavillion is named the "Emperor's new clothes". He doesnt realise he is sleep walking naked!! haha
"Kami sayang Pak Lah"....
ReplyDeletehehe! after GE 2008, the fact that people have to say that means the leader has fallen.
My prediction: Many BN'ers will now become bloggers.
Suggestion for Paklah's blog name:
"I had a dream"
KJ: "Rembau Kitten (Pussy)"
Samy: "Itu Siput, saya sudah jadi"
Koh tsu koon: "Mutiara Hilang"
Pak ZZZ only wants to discuss about appointing SIL into the cabinet and all supreme council members agreed unanimously. They have only praises for him and Pak ZZZ was very happy. Noni was happy too that finally she could be a Bakti member.
ReplyDeleteCheerios to BN for having such an unique talent from OXford.
i think theless he is mentioned by everyone the better it will be. Until then he will still translate references to him as a measure of his popularity.
