and I had not realised I had gone this far.....so to speak. And this long (an exaggeration, of course).
But, well, it has been exactly a year since I first started 3540 Jalan Sudin.
I was reminded (of this) by Ahirudin Attan (Rocky's Bru) who left a "happy first anniversary" wish in the comment box of my earlier posting ("Oh Dear, Radzi).
I still remember the night of January 7, 2007 at the now-closed-down Austin Chase at Bangsar Shopping Centre, KL. when Rocky cajoled me to resume blogging.
He was, I think a little disappointed that I had not been taking his suggestion seriously.
I blamed it on plain and simple inertia.
Rocky helped me get started on my very first blog some time in June 2006, about three months after I quit NST.
My first blog was called "Seri Mendahiling" but it went dead, in the same way my brain went "dead" after just one little posting.
Ok...to cut the story short -- 3540 Jalan Sudin was born on Jan 7 2007. And there was no looking or turning back.
Now, don't get me started on the friends I have made through blogging!
So....here I am. Staying right here.

They are, without doubt, responsible for the symphony emanating from the ticking and talking of bloggers and the outraged rakyat. Without blogs like yours, a day in bolehland would be meaningless indeed when traditional news sources spin and twist themselves into an inelegant irrelevance.

2007 was a lot of good things happening. it was a sad year for me because i lost my dear sister, kak Eda who was a faithful reader. she never got to post a comment as she had wanted to...
we all (at home) miss her so dearly.
it was also a year i met so many
"great" people, some of whom have become firm friends.
apart from bloggers whom i have known before my blogging days, among whom are rocky, rusdi,farish, kak teh, awang goneng, kickdefella, Ong Hock Chuan, AhmadT,marinaM, Kuda Kepang, zorro, shanghaifish, Tonystand-up philosopher, jeff, malay male and mokciknab -- i have met others and thus made new friends among bloggers. Elviza, Wan Shana, Ibu, Raden Galoh, Zaigha, Azmi Talib, Kerp, Pak Idrus, Pokku, ancient mariner, tony yew, bigdog, voice, eliza haberdashery, susan,cakapaje, zawi,jane sunshine, sharon bakar, husna,SK, Melvin, Howsy, Lucia, Desiderata, to name a few.
other bloggers i connected with (but have not met) -- pi bani (i missed her at MRT), roxanne, bailey, athene, zewt and...oh many others whose nicks/names slip my mind right now. i'm sorry if i have not mentioned you....you're right here in my mind.
i am hoping to meet them in this lifetime...
i reconnected with others who knew me before -- galadriel, mior, matsalo (to some extent), elly --
Then, i connected with commentors. One commentor I was thrilled to have met was Shar101, who became a blogger and now, a firm friend.
other commentors like wan shana's husband, Dr Ayah I finally got to meet.
one very dear commentor:aMiR -- i finally got to meet after a couple of misses. He came for hari raya aidilfitriat my father's place with his brood...it was really so nice and so, yes, thrilling to finally have met him and his lovely wife and kids.
then, there's rubiah (the nurse), nani&michael in the big apple, and dharan all of whom i have not met and do dearly hope to.
and yes...i do really like to meet Sesat from sydney. yes yes...
finally....yes Mekyam. certainly i had you in mind when i talked about making friends in blogosphere. and yes...i do hope to so meet you.
