"Everything has a springtime, and the springtime of the Qur'an is the month of Ramadhan." - Imam Muhammad al-Baqir
Tomorrow, Muslims begin observing the blessed month of Ramadhan, a special time for them.
Everyday of the holy Ramadhan, Muslims (those physcially able) fast from dawn to dusk.
It is a time of prayer, reading the Quran, reflection and charity.
Ramadhan falls on the ninth month of the Islamic calendar and is special for Muslims because it was during Ramadhan that the first verses of the Quran were revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
I wish my Muslim brothers and sisters Selamat Berpuasa and have a happy and blessed Ramadhan!
Peace!
Selamat berpuasa. Alhamdulillah....
ReplyDeleteAssalamualaikum Puan,
ReplyDeleteThank you for the wish.
Happy Ramadhan to you & your beloved family.
ZAiDi
Selamat berpuasa Kak! And to your family too..
ReplyDeleteI find it difficult to write during fasting month because it is so calming. I write better when there is some anger or strong passion......
ReplyDeleteAnyway have a good one and be a good one till Syawal
Selamat berpuasa
Salam Ramadhan from Dhahran Sea to you & family. I hope 'tis time around the Muslims on this one earth will have Ramadhan on the same day (well except maybe those from areas with -12 hours GMT?). And considering there is ONLY ONE MOON around the earth (and its DIFFICULT to miss the moon here in the vast desert of Saudi Arabia), lets hope the Majlis Raja2 will declare Ramadhan on the same day as the rest of the world, knowing fully well that with the clouds in Malaysia, its pretty slim to see the anak bulan anywhere? I always wonder, if the moon is sighted in any part of the earth, it must be the one and only moon..., right? But why waste time (and money) with the traditional trivia of menenguk anak bulan? Just to keep the suspense going I suppose? But again, can we afford the expensive entourage nowadays? Whatever... salam.

P/S
Everyone else,
Don't do a "BigDog" at Pasar Ramadhan, okay. Tengok apa saja, semua nak beli dan nak mentedarah. Penghabisnya membazir!
Hilang fadhilat puasa.........
BTW, my family have banned me from buying buka puasa juadah since 10 years ago! (Too glutton when making the purchase in an empty stomach!)
Hahhahahahahahahahahahhahahahaha :D
BigDog,
ReplyDeleteheheh....I hear you!
My wishes Happy Fasting and May the Ramadhan Be An Enlightening One.
ReplyDeleteThere is a charity cause announcement and interesting case of interfaith appreciation and understanding during Ramadhan of non Muslism enjoining their Muslim colleague to fast in Ramadhan.
Do read it.
To those non Muslims, do try it, if not for your health sake. Assure the syariah court does not apply to you!
Selamat berpuasa to all Muslims nd those non Muslims.
Selamat Berpuasa dan beribadah.
ReplyDeleteSister,
ReplyDeleteHave a happy Ramadhan! Peace too!
