We're Good, Says Najib

Just Rumour
Don't listen to internet rumour about any rift between Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and his number two, Najib Razak.
Najib has refuted stories that he and Abdullah are having problems.
"Don't listen to the stories in the internet, they are all a myth," he said in Pekan today.
He was at the Pekan Village development and Security Committe (JKKK) gathering.
Najib said his relationship with the PM was very close and strong.
"Being the number two in the country, I always strive to assist the Prime Minister in the country's administration and so on for the good of the country," he was quoted to have said by Bernama.
Speculations were rife, not only in the internet, that not all was well between the PM and DPM in the wake of allegations of corruption and abuse of power involving Deputy Internal Security Minister Johari Baharum and Anti-Corruption Agency director-general Zulkipli Mat Noor.
I remember, after these allegations were made public, an aide to a politician asked me this: "Do you think it is a proxy war?"
"You tell me", was my reply.

Frankly. Anything is possible.

    I smell a rat! here.
I just remember there is a Malay saying, “Kalau tak ada angin bertiup, takkan pokok bergoyang”, which means the tree will not sway without a trace of wind. So time will tell us......

    Adios

  4. Adikku Nuraina,

Nostalgia.

Tetapi seperti Adik Nuraina kata, semuanya possible. Sandiwara Dr M-DSAI mungkin berulang dan kalau ia berulang, seorang lagi timbalan PM pasti akan tumbang. In this case, tumbang dengan mudah.

  6. yup, anything is possible.

honestly, if indeed things are not peachy between them, would they tell? I don't think so.

denying the rumour is the politically correct thing to do.

saying that EVERYTHING on the internet is myth however, isn't. Particularly in the wake of all the accusations against bloggers and all. But hey, he didn't attack anyone in particular, so I think I'll let it slide... :)

  7. Najib should say, "Hey I didn't have a fight with AAB, see no black eye. Yes la sometimes he sees it from another angle biasa la tu but really there's no problem between us. I have no problem with Pak lah and his children. I have no problem with ground floor, 1st floor 2nd floor 3rd floor and 5th floor sampai atas la. No problem la. Ku Nan told me ini semua itu perempuan-perempuan penipu punya bloggers punya kerja la. Wah they all berani ah, we bring RR to fire them still they want to do that ah. No lah don't believe la, what you think we all like kayveas and keng yaik ah?

What still don't want to believe me ah. Okay i give you the adress of a good bomoh, you go and ask him and see whether got gaduh-gaduh between us.

Actually ah, I really admire Pak Lah you know. I tell you a secret, I sms him many times you know, thats why he win the Akademi PM competition.

No lah where got TDM force Pak Lah to take me. Actually ah, TDM asked Pak Lah to take Samy Velu, swear I tell you.

The PM has said he is not going to be a one-term PM. That means, if BN wins the next general elections, and it is likely to do so, Najib will be No 2 for the next 5 to 7 years. But that time KJ would have turned 35 or 36, a good age to become a deputy. Najib will then announce his retirement/resignation, citing health reasons. By 2015 or 2016, AAB will announce his desire to give way to his son-in-law, who will be the youngest PM that Malaysia will ever have. He will not stay long, though. A scandal and he can't be defended, and KJ has to step down.
By that time, a young woman would have been "prepared" to take over KJ. It's not Azalina, of course, and Sahrizat and Rafidah would have been too old.
    Ever heard of Nori?

Too fantastic? Sure. But then, Najib insisting that his ties with the old man is good is even more fantastic, especially given the fact that the people -- and the posters here -- all know very well of the Mahathir-Anwar "wayang kulit" not that long ago.

Still, anything's possible in politics, as the blogger says. Najib may still become PM in the next five years and maybe he will take someone else other than Khairy Jamaluddin as deputy.

Who knows the last alphabet in the R.A.H.M.A.N prophecy is not Najib but Nori!
    Think about it...

Remember the anwar-mahathir tiff. It started off with with anwar's denial followed by mahathir's. then hugs and kisses (the usual unstinting support for each other). The rest, as the Gringos say, is history.

  11. 1998, all the "still ok, still warm" statements came from Anwar. Everytime i wanted to believe, i called Zaharin.

"hang percaya ka Anwar tu, bakaq?!"

    2007, another "elegant silent"?
